JBG ball control
Exquisite control to set up the second goal. His little flick when the ball was played slightly behind him. Best piece of footballing skill of the afternoon, even better than Mcneils stop and turn.

My favourite player. Just adore him! Now stop bloody getting niggly injuries JBG!
I’ve told the wife that if we ever have a child and it’s a boy, we’re calling it Johann Berg Robertson. She’s not having any of it.
Yet!

Spades, because you can’t call a girl Johann!
Having said that...would I get away with Joanne Berg Robertson, in 2019?

Re: JBG ball control
He's had a stop-start season this season, but in the long term we may come to be thankful for that because it might just keep him out of the clutch of bigger clubs. He's a terrific player at his best and he looked nice and positive in his cameo today.
His contribution to the winner was great, but I must say I thought the turn and trick from McNeil was a class above. He took 3 international footballers out of the equation with a touch of the ball and a spin on six pence, when by rights he should have been harried out of it facing his own goal. It was as audacious as it was brilliant and I'm surprised there's no GIF of it yet.

Re: JBG ball control
Love it when he cuts in field towards the box, reminds me of Taffy.
McNeil is so cool though. He looks like he's playing in slow motion.

Which is about half a dozen times a season before he is out injured again for another month...fungus_the_bogeyman wrote:Back to his best today. A joy to watch when he’s on song.

Re: JBG ball control
For a wideman he gets in some super No.10 positions but he can play, as does Dwight.
Re: JBG ball control
Yeah Herts...if I were you I'd tell him that on Tw@tter when he is feeling honoured to welcome the Icelandic President to Turf Moor. That should help squeeze an extra 1% out of him knowing you've got his back.Herts Clarets wrote:Which is about half a dozen times a season before he is out injured again for another month...

Excellent contribution for the goal, but dare I say it, I thinks his pass to Barnes was in fact a scuffed effort on goal.
