I do that when I visit Oddie’s. I usually have my bun before my steak pie.

VAR disallows Kun Aguero goal. I can only surmise it’s for his fat arse?

VAR didn’t disallow the goal, the assistant referee did. VAR just didn’t overrule his decision.Tricky Trevor wrote:VAR disallows Kun Aguero goal. I can only surmise it’s for his fat arse?

City are better in almost every position than Chelsea but Hazard and Kante are simply world class. Got to hand it to Sarri it’s been a great performance from Chelsea.

Re: League Cup Final
When VAR comes in to the PL linesmen will be reluctant to give very tight offside decisions but instead leave it to a VAR review.
In cricket nowadays umpires never give a run out or stumped decision, even if they are a yard short of the crease, but instead refer everything to the third umpire.

Shocking from Sarri, allowing the player to overrule him.

That keeper should never play for Chelsea again, how dare he defy his manager in such a way.
If I was Sarri I’d have dragged the ****** off by the ear.

Watching a foreign stream, so not fully sure of what was happening, but it looked like the keeper refused to be subbed and Sarri got really angry, but allowed it to happen. Sub keeper, Caballero didn't know what the hell was going on.SGr wrote:Shocking from Sarri, allowing the player to overrule him.

he shouldn't play for them again regardless
Re: League Cup Final
The manager makes the decisions. Do you think Mourinho would’ve accepted this. When does a player ever want to be substituted? It’s the manager who has final say.taio wrote:More like shocking from the keeper. Disgraceful.

Arrizabalaga is an embarrassment to his club. Is this the worse case of player power? Another Chelsea manager surely on his way out.

Like I said, Mourinho would never have allowed this. Captain has to take responsibility too.taio wrote:He did make the decision. But he was totally undermined. Sarri did nothing wrong at all.

What do you expect Sarri to do when the keeper so blatantly defies his instruction.SGr wrote:The manager makes the decisions. Do you think Mourinho would’ve accepted this. When does a player ever want to be substituted? It’s the manager who has final say.
Short of manhandling him off, not sure what you wanted from him there.

It will all end in tears - that was the most disgraceful thing that I have ever seen in
a game of football, and I've seen some things in my 60 years of being a fan.

Re: League Cup Final
As I said it’s not all on him. Captain has to act as the enforcer. Ditto the ref if he has the authority. But Sarri clearly doesn’t have such a commanding presence.taio wrote:What could Sarri have done?

Re: League Cup Final
Yep. Can you imagine our keeper defying Dyche like that. It’s not just about the personality of the players, a good manager exerts authority and the player will not argue.SussexDon1inIreland wrote:Sean Dyche wouldn’t have put up with that

Next week when the **** is dropped is he going to get kitted out and run on in goal regardless?
It’s nothing to do with the commanding presence of the manager and everything to do with the player being a totally arrogant, selfish individual.

Sarri cant allow it happen. He makes the subs. In that situation he cannot just be forced to accept it. Lack of authority.taio wrote:You said it was shocking from Sarri. It wasn't. It was shocking from the player; absolutely disgraceful.

Re: League Cup Final
If ever an incident summed up a football club, that was surely it. Like a chavvy family having a blazing row in a restaurant. Totally classless. I actually think I hate Chelsea more than Blackburn.

Can't see Kepa starting another game for Chelsea while Sarri is manager.
So he'll be in goal against Spurs on Wednesday.

It looked to me as though Moss went to ask Sarri what he wanted. Used Zola as an interpreter and then didn’t get the outcome he wanted. That was when he stormed off to the tunnel.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote:Ref should've ordered him off
The rest of the season in the stiffs should teach him but with Chelskis player power Sarri hasn’t got a prayer.

Re: League Cup Final
I think a quite plausible scenario is that Kepa just thought he was coming off due to injury.
Re: League Cup Final
There is something seriously wrong at Chelsea. I think Kepa’s response highlights the culture amongst a squad who clearly have no respect for the manager, past and present. As others have said, a senior player should have been across to tell him to get off. It was like watching a petulant teenage cricketer refuse to leave the field after being given out because he thinks he’s better than everyone else.
