9. It’s only 9.

Hard to feel sorry for them. Well, I find it hard.

Thing is, the people who really need paying in order to put food on the table, clothes on their backs and a roof over their heads will be lucky to get 10p in the pound if it all goes tits up.

No doubt there will be summat in the players contracts to see they get every single penny.

Sad.

Players might end up able to go free!

Not that I would necessarily want to see it happen, but maybe it is about time a club went under and had to be removed from the leagues to show that clubs cannot continue to throw money at it and run at a loss without consequences.

Very true it's always the backroom staff that are forgotten in situations like this, the players have the FL and the PFA to subsidise their wages, and let's be honest they aren't living hand to mouth (certainly not first team players anyway),and if the worst comes to the worst most of these players will be picked up by other clubs, whereas the day-to-day staff many who will be earning minimum wage at a guess, will have to try and find alternative employment, and as you point out they unlikely to receive any form of redundancy payments,if they receive any payments at all.

It's a nonsense that a Championship club are in this predicament in the first place,we aren't talking about a non-league outfit here, they are making a mockery of the FL,as are many others Portsmouth,Birmingham,QPR,just three that come to mind.

I'm very wary of the amount of times the '10 years ahead' is given by our fans.
I hope it's not tempting fate and we find ourselves in trouble in 10 years.

I know we are very differently run, but still. It makes me nervous sometimes ha

Don't worry, there's no such thing as 'tempting fate'

It would have to happen in the next twelve months-ish JT, as it was nine years ago when sheepsteeth said it....

Or just get over the whole “10 year” thing. Time to move on!

I feel sorry for the non playing staff who yet again haven't been paid. They aren't on megga bucks either.

Latest from Bolton fans suggest the administration staff and other low paid workers have been given food hampers.
There has been no indication of when they and the players will be paid.
GMP among others have not been paid and suppliers of Team Bus have not and players and staff have had to pay the Coach to Swansea today.
This takeover has to happen by next week or club in real trouble

Feel sorry for the fans , all they have done is support the club.

He left years ago and it was his comment not the clubs and the structure of BWFC at the time was ahead of ours but on a downward spiral.

As if people are still bothered.

But if you like corrie you like corrie. Each to their own.

It appears one of their staff, Nick Horne the assistant secretary, is moving back ten years in time.

He said yesterday: "Sad to be leaving Bolton Wanderers today - loads of great people, happy memories & despite some of the chaos, a bloody great place to work (most of the time!). Burnley here we come..."

They even owe the police.
What a mess.
