Nonsense. It's been an abject display. No inventiveness, poor service to the forwards, no idea.

Defended poorly for there 3rd no denying that but we are no way as bad as some of you say. I’m still extremely confident we’ll get the points required. Struggling honestly to understand his We’ve lost so heavily tbh

There is such a familiarity about the comments-our style of play, hoof ball, late substitutes, lack of penetration, comical defending. Its as if I have seen the game. Looking forward to the post match diatribe

Just seen the goal we scored. So frustrating, was exactly the sort of cross I wanted JBG on for: right near the dodgy Hennessy - had no idea what to do with it.

Thankfully it's still in our hands with Southampton/Cardiff doing us a favour. Get the Liverpool game out of the way, and then we have four cup final season defining games. IF we can find our mojo again and pick up a couple of wins there then we'll have enough to stay up. The last two performances have worried me though, I didn't expect to lose both.

Thought we played ok there. Much better than Tuesday night. Ok they have far better quality strikers but Palace were simply lucky today. We have 10 attempts on goal they have 0 and then go and get gifted an own goal.

No panic needed. Just need to keep a good bit of daylight between ourselves and Cardiff.

Hi NRC, maybe someone else has already commented: Palace weren't below us at the start of today, equal on points, and above Clarets on goal difference - which they've just improved by 4.

Wish this wasn't the case. As you say "fine margins."

I watched the first half... we played quite well and only that OG was about the only time palace threatened.
The cardiff match is huge. A win and we stay up... a draw might be enough as well.

I get the feeling that one or two posters only look at the score, not at the way we played.

Final ball could have been better on several occasions - the team was attacking, pressing and competing and stats may show that we did more today than when we got 3 points against Spurs last week. Roy Hodgson's Palace have taken the points once more.

Hope the end of season is nothing like when Scotty Arfield's penalty was saved at Selhurst Park - and, I think I'm correct in saying, if we'd taken 3 points that day we'd have been in the Premier League also the following season.

Strong jaw, everyone.

Utter shambles of a performance. Today made Tuesdays showing look like a performance of Barcelona standards. Dyche can not flower that up.

The gaffer's tactics are largely blame for the last two results, although Westwood's illness didn't help.

Dwight barely has the stamina to last a full 90 minutes. He doesn't have it in his locker to play 3 games in the space of a week and he should have been rested on Tuesday.

Today was a second half tactical disaster. Apart from the bad luck goal everything was ticking along nicely. The gaffer licks his finger, holds it up to test the wind and decides to go all in and focus on crossing the ball. So off comes Hendrick and all of sudden they take control of the game and have freedom to move and work the ball.

We should have taken into account the wind and stuck with what was working until we had drawn level. Windy day keep it on the deck, keep their midfield in check and control the game. Brady should have replaced Dwight in the early part of the second half and then we should have switched to crossing with JNG and Crouch coming on towards the end.

Very poor tactics cost us a game that w had every chance of winning until the half time changes. On the upside it might have woken people up to the important job Hendrick has been doing on the right in our good games.

Next four games = Liverpool (a), Leicester (h), Wolves (h) and Bournemouth (a).

Four points max leaving us on 34 with 5 to play.
