Bale getting stick

Post by IanMcL » Mon Mar 04, 2019 2:28 pm

From Real Madrid fans, when he was subbed.

Poor supporters, to say the least.
We could do with a cheap left winger on loan!

Bale to spurs in the summer apparently agreed - 50mil+Bale for Eriksson.

They also owe 30mil to Spurs for Bale/Modric apparently (according to spurs supporting bro in law) which will be paid too.

Spurs could have a serious push to actually go for the title next season.

Bro in law seems to think they’ll be using the Eriksson money to get Isco.

So could potentially be Kane, Isco, Bale, Son and Alli.

Alderweireld will be gone though who will need replacing.

Hasn’t endeared himself to the Spanish. Apparently not learning the language hasn’t helped.

According to his agent the fans should be kissing his feet. Loved the adulation when going well so has to take the stick when not.

I don't follow spanish football overmuch, but when has it not been going well? He's got a (more or less, I think) 1 in 2 ratio for goals, including in their FA Cup final and in the champions league final twice, I think?

If he hasn't been learning the language or adapting to life in spain then that's one thing, but he seems to have been performing on the pitch?

Interesting that Courtois is having a dig. He’s not been there too long but team mates shouldn’t be digging one another out...particularly when you’ve been there for 5 minutes and won nothing yet...always struck me as one of those ‘misquoted’ types at Chelsea

The Spanish don't like him because he hasn't learned the language, you say. Strange that, because the Welsh love him and he can't speak more than two words of Wesh.

Weird how his ability to speak Spanish is being used against him over there when over here we generally don't give a toss whether or not foreign players speak English.

I don't recall Aguero, for example, ever giving an interview in English on motd, or Tevez.
I've yet to see the mob try to chase them out for it.

In Aguero’s case it is probably cos he scores virtually every time he plays.

Real Madrid expect Bale to score as many as Ronaldo for some reason...they are spoilt

His agent doesn’t help him imo. Sounds like a wide boy imo. Makes you wonder how they become agents.

Rumoured to be going to Utd in the Summer, you sense an end of an era at Real,Zidane gone,Ronaldo gone,Bale likely gone, they will have to rebuild with youth.

I saw Aguero give an interview in English on Sky a couple of weeks ago. His English wasn't great, but he was good enough to give a short interview.

On £650k a week there, so expectations should be high.

1 in 2 for Real Madrid or Barca isn't that great a record to be fair either.

He will be priced out of a premier league move so he will have to buckle up or get on the plane to China.

They are playing sh1te and he is their highest profile player. That's why he gets the big bucks. Fans always turn on one. Basically he’s their Hendrick. He hasn’t helped himself with his recent behaviour but his agent says his Spanish is acceptable.

He's usually dubbed over by his translator.

I think he also struggles with English but they had an affinity with him at Spurs.

Apparently he has also failed to show willing to adapt to the culture and lifestyle. I heard that a team mate booked a restaurant at 10pm one evening for a team night out and he didn't go because it was too late. Not sure why this should really matter but it doesn't seem to have endeared him to the locals.
