I think the best two I ever saw were Geoff Nulty on the Turf against Portsmouth and Brian Laws down at Gillingham.

Yes, that classic makes the list. Still not really sure what he was trying to do, not that I cared on the night!

I’m sure this led to Man Utd(and City) Fans revering to making a mistake as dropping a Pollock.

Djimmi Traore, was the sort of OG that never happens for your club. I dot know what he was thinking?!

Does Bardsleys OG on saturday make him the first player to score two own goals against us in different divisions? (apologies if I've missed it elsewhere, it was probably mentioned, but he scored an own goal for us whilst on loan, I think, ten years ago?)

Some quality viewing there. One in our favour (Traore), two former players (Brass and Dixon) and an assist from Steve Stone. It's a tough call but I think the Forest Green one is my favourite for sheer stupidity in the face of zero danger - thanks for posting.

I remember Laws one but not Nulty's - can anyone describe it?

This may be wrong but I once read that when we beat Coventry 2-1 on the opening day of 1967-68, Coventry's goal came at the end of the match when Dave Merrington, having thought he heard the final whistle, celebrated by smashing the ball in his own net. The whistle hadn't been blown. Is this true? It is a pity if it isn't!

Liverpool fans did come up with a cracking song for him..

Don’t blame it on Biscan,
Don’t blame it on Hamann,
Don’t blame it on Finnan,
Blame it on Traore,
He just can’t, he just can’t, he just can’t control his feet...

I can remember Nulty's - wasn't it Peter Mellor in goal?

No.11. The keeper kicking into the wind is my fave. If only because it was still a very simple save anyway.

I think he may have been in two minds what to do.
Technically he wouldn’t have been able to touch the ball as nobody else had touched it after his kick

To the tune of Blame it on the Boogie by the Jackson 5.
Brilliant mickey-taking by the Scousers.

As good as, “When you’re sat in row Z and the ball hits your head, that’s Zamora” to the tune of That’s Amore.

Way back in the mist of time (Late 70's or early 80's) I kind of remember a headed backpass into the Cricket Field net by a Burnley defender. He was fully 25 - 30 yards from goal but I cannot remember the player or who we were playing.

He could not handle it perhaps, although I would think it would be reasonable for him to save it with his hands and quite frankly any common sense ref would allow him to catch it. He could also play it with his feet and the rest of his body just like any outfield player.

I remember Everton defender Sandy Brown scoring for Liverpool with a cracking header in a Merseyside derby at Goodison, circa 1970?

The Zamora chant is my favourite ever, I'll never forget first hearing it, my mate sang it to me in a pub down south and I completely lost it, crying with laughter I was, ended up doubled over clutching my ribs. Can't beat something that tickles you that much.
