Blackpool v Southend on Sat...

Now that the Oystons have gone, the fans are coming back in force. They’ve sold 12,000 tickets already. Fantastic!

Pinched this off the local rag.

.....Oyston and his daughter Natalie Christopher were both removed from their roles last week and the Oystons Estate Agents' sign has been removed from the stadium this lunchtime. Volunteers have again been inside the stadium today to get the ground spick and span, after years of neglect, ahead of the weekend's clash. Fans are to take part in a celebration parade before Saturday's game, with supporters being joined by a host of former players at Blackpool Tower at 1pm. From there they will march down the promenade towards the stadium, where they are expecting to arrive at 2pm......

Sold 13k now!
Sounds like big party.
Good luck to them. They've had a rough time under the Odious O's.

Except they were using a "boycott" as an excuse for their extreme fickleness. That was made clear as soon as they got back out of League One. They had to be given freebies though to make sure they attended their own promotion party.

Was a local lad who was involved in the potential take over apparently.

I for one, wish Blackpool all the best on Saturday ...

We all know that every Club has it's core support, who are no different to you and I, that follow their home town Club through thick and thin. It is a large percentage of these fans who made a principled stand against the " Oysten's " whose actions when controlling the Club were considered " dubious " and were ultimately found to be unlawful . Given their affection for the Club, it must have been painfull to drive to the ground, set up their protest stalls and banners, give out leaflets etc. and then pack up at 2.50pm, on a Saturday, and go home.

It is for those people who will return on Saturday, that I hope they have a win and a great afternoon !! :) :)

I went to the game and didn’t see this happen (it may well have done) but there was a number of smoke bombs set off throughout the game. I assume Stanley will be in trouble for that?

I also thought the Blackpool fans would have been a bit more buoyant that they were. A couple of stifled chants about getting the Oystons out and some noise when their winner went in but that was about it. Having said that they did look like a pretty poor side.

Lets not forget that these Blackpool fans are the same ones who stormed through a turnstile at T M and attacked the turnstile attendant. The turnstile guy happened to be an OAP.

Defiantly did happen

Stanley’s keeper was sent off for returning an object to the crowd that was thrown at him after Blackpool’s winner

Some owners are just not fit for the job and some are just odious.

Bottles thrown on the pitch, smoke bombs may suggest that they are or just as bad.

I didn't see the sending off because I was watching the stewards dealing with one of the "smoke bombs". There was a pretty big flame with it - it wasn't just smoke.

Local to Burnley - It isn’t hidden and has been reported on a little, but a lad from Brunshaw way was part of the take over bid for them.

I’m not sure if it’s still going through though.
