The Legacy of SuBo
Blackburn 17th Championship
Wigan 19th Championship
Bolton 23rd Championship
All three almost tied together by an invisible thread that has been in place since he shafted each one in turn.
And, all going nowhere, apart from Bolton that is!

Re: The Legacy of SuBo
Funny thing is that even with the dogshit team we had back in 09, I reckon he could have kept us up.
Imagine that, he could be doing what SD is doing now!

I don't think you can get lucky over the course of a 46 game season, plus 3 play off games.....Steve1956 wrote:He got lucky with us...end of...he's fecking useless

I thought the Scottish BGT bird had a new album when i read the thread title ,Coyle did well during his brief tenure, but a lot of our success that season was down to the senior pros,Alexander in particular led by example on and off the field.
He has been found out to be a fraud and will be lucky to land another job.

Time to get over it. Managers and players come, managers and players go.

How lucky were we watching some of the most exciting football over the course of that season in the league and cup that culminated in promotion after a trip to Wembley - stuff that dreams are made of.Steve1956 wrote:He got lucky with us...end of...he's fecking useless
I can’t stand the bloke, or the way he left, but he was the catalyst for that season and I recognise that.

Re: The Legacy of SuBo
Judging on his subsequent record it will always be a mystery how he did what he did here.
But he did and it was an absolutely fantastic time in charge, acheiveing things that none of us thought were possible.

Re: The Legacy of SuBo
Could add that Huston Dynamo were bottom of the league when he left there.
That promotion season with us was that rare period in his footballing life when all was well and, went well.
Plus he had a lot of good pros and leaders in the dressing room someone else had assembled.
He was lucky.
Since then he's been shown for the limited, one trick pony he is.
Really would be a huge surprise if anyone else would be daft enough to give him a job as a footy manger again.

Re: The Legacy of SuBo
At Ross County, his win rate was even worse but the initial link was to local Championship Clubs who have stayed in very close proximity to each other since he left them (Sacked is the usual term!)Buxtonclaret wrote:Could add that Huston Dynamo were bottom of the league when he left there
Re: The Legacy of SuBo
The bloke was a breath of fresh air after Cotterill. And that promotion season was outstanding.
I've wondered if he had managed to bring in those three players - Weiss, Holden and Wilshere wasn't it? - what would have happened.
