1st Half Injury Time

Post by Shappie » Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:51 pm

PSG V United

3 goals. 1 substitution. 1 minute added time

If that had been the second half there would have been at least 4 minutes. I dont see why there is always less in the first half

I agree, the ref should keep playing until PSG have scored another three.

One thing I found interesting...

Sheffield derby on Monday evening...

One minute of injury time in first half.

Two minutes of injury time in second half.

On both occasions the ref blew before the ‘minimum’ allotted time, albeit by a few seconds.

It does seem that it’s a standard 1-2 minutes first half. 4-5 minutes second half. I also find amazing that they can only find 6 ish minutes in the while 90. But once in the 4-5 added time, can then find another 2 or 3 minutes. So less than 10% in the 90, but 50% in added time.

The brown envelopes only come out in the second half.

Never a penalty. But what a penalty. Hats off to Rashford.

For such a young lad, that was an incredible amount of pressure and he placed it perfectly.

Always possible that the ref's watch was a few seconds ahead of the Sky clock, and of course the ref's watch is the thing that matters.

VAR for the second goal tonight took 2 mins 40 ish to decide
Plus there was a review for the third, and the first was a penalty

Injury time at the end of the half: 2 mins.

It just doesn’t make sense

No clue on the BBC "text commentary" - on lower league games, it's just a list of events. There were no events from 32 minutes to 42 minutes, so whatever it was, must have been then.

I bet Wycombe were sick - especially as the got another penalty in the second half.

excessive injury time was due to linesman injured and being replaced .
