Stan's comments resonate with me when he says there was no heating in the changing rooms. That was only 15 years ago, probably less.

Now they have 3 jacuzzis next to their changing room as well as a huge indoor pitch. It's no wonder young players are choosing to come to Burnley after leaving Man U, Liverpool and likes. Huge progress.

Another reason why we need to stay in the league as i daresay the costs of running it will be high!

"We are all very proud to be Burnley players"- nice that all 6 top class players of the past say this.
Unlike many players of today, the club got into their blood too.
It's this that makes supporting Burnley different and Dyche buys into the club's history and legacy.

Five of those played in the FA Cup semi-final against Newcastle.

Great to see. Stan is looking well - he's 72 now! Where does time go? UTC.

From the top photo....left to right (Dyche's right to left)

Nulty, Casper, Fletcher, Dyche, Thompson, Ternent and Waldron?

If I am wrong, can you put me right please?
Crikey in my head, Waldron would have towered over Dyche height wise.

Great article....especially seeing players from the past being invited down to Barnfield. Hope they feel part of it. No Dobbo??

Great story and if nothing else is ever achieved from being in the Prem we at least have a lasting legacy.

Great that! And I was genuinely surprised to find that Stan ultimately had such a long tenure. I knew it was a while and that he really did do such a lot for us, but I didn't realise it was quite that long. He looks well too. (As do all of them tbh)

Colin Waldron is 70 and people tend to shrink a little past a certain age.
On average, we shrink about a quarter to a third of an inch per decade for every decade after 40. All told, men will get about 1.2 to 1.5 inches shorter, and women will lose up to 2 inches, by age 70

Yes, they're all looking well. particularly Stan after what he's been through in the past year. But then again, 70-72 is the new 50-52. By the way, is there only me who thought Jim Thomson was Jimmy Robson, who looks great for his 80-plus years.

No Dobbo. Shame. I wonder if it’s because he’s associated still with another club.

No, it's because Dobbo isn't one of that group that meet up on a regular basis.

Strange. When he turned up at my 50th he invited me out with them all in Manchester and told me about how they all meet up regularly. Don’t want to argue, just a shame he wasn’t there.

Also Dobbo has been to Barnfield and was interviewed on Clarets Player (last season)

I'm sure he has, but the reason he wasn't there this week is because that group meet up on a regular basis
