That is a shame - always exciting to see a new player come through like he has

Re: Sean Longstaff
Even with him scoring against us - I always like seeing local lads break through into teams, especially when it’s teams in the prem which are easily harder to break into than others nowadays for youngsters, even more so local youngsters.
Gutted for him.

Re: Sean Longstaff
Think like us they will be okay but this is a massive loss for them. Since his introduction he seems to have added another dimension to their midfield and seemed to just make them a lot stronger

Re: Sean Longstaff
It's a blow for them but they should have enough quality in their squad to cope, put's his England debut on hold.

Re: Sean Longstaff
Just seen a line on the gossip column.
Newcastle United have told Manchester United they will have to pay £50m for English midfielder Sean Longstaff, with the Old Trafford club valuing the 21-year-old at between £18m and £20m.
£50m for a promising youngster just recovering from a serious injury, the market truly has gone bonkers.
Shows what McNeil could be worth next summer,if he has a strong full season.

Re: Sean Longstaff
Scored his only PL goal against us at SJP in February, silly money for unproven talent.

Re: Sean Longstaff
Based purely on stats that would make McNeil worth about 80M minimum. No doubt there is proving you can play in the prem for a ‘big club’ factored in.

A good DM never kills a character, they just let the player think the PC is dead for a month or two and then attack their new PC with their old. Before giving him back.CombatClaret wrote:Even worse he died in my Dungeons & Dragons campaign!

It seems to be the path OGS and Man Utd went to pursue,Dan James,Wan-Bissaka and now this lad,i admire them giving youth a chance, but i think it'll end in tears.CleggHall wrote:Scored his only PL goal against us at SJP in February, silly money for unproven talent.
We could always offer them Dwight back for say £100m,and see if they bite.

Players are tracked from a very young age, they will know a lot about his ability and the player he can become.

Re: Sean Longstaff
I assume you're referring to the class of 92,the big difference between this United squad, besides Fergie who was a major factor,is that that team had leaders, the likes of Bruce,Pallister, even Denis Irwin, and of course Cantona had won the title the year prior with Leeds,i don't see any generals in this Utd squad to marshal the troops, certainly not Paul Pogba and even De Gea's lost his presence in the last 6 months,it's possible Ole could build a side to challenge given a year or two,but everyone knows you don't get that luxury in the modern game.No Ney Never wrote:Didn't Alan Hanson once say something similar?
