During a window, it’s a worthwhile discussion. To keep bringing it up is pointless.

so you don't think signing better players would give you a better opportunity to get results ? Better tell SeanTheFamilyCat wrote:During a window, it’s a worthwhile discussion. To keep bringing it up is pointless.

No, I do think that having better players should make a better team.
I also think that once a window has shut and what has (or hasn’t) happened as happened, it’s pretty pointless to keep bringing it up.

Re: Today's football
Absolute nightmare of a day. Before today I thought we needed 2 wins to be safe, I’m upping that to 3 now.
Goal difference might be all important so we really can’t afford a mauling tomorrow.

Day's like this happen.
Cardiff's win was a surprise but it was one of their two best chances in the last nine games. If we're still ahead of them after we play Liverpool we'll be fine

I don't think Cardiff beating west Ham was a surprise tbh...but Brighton and Southamptons results were.Guich wrote:Day's like this happen.

Everything is in our own hands.
We have enough winnable games to come and a number where we will get nothing.
Keep the Faith !

We have to score first tomorrow, and then get a second. We can't sit back and park the bus.All out attack as if we have a chance to win the league. If we can can beat spurs,we can beat anybody.

Why’s everyone acting as if we’re not going to win tomorrow? We’ll be fine

Tim, I'm loving the idea that any fan who expresses concern about our situation is some kind of poof, whilst anyone living in the dillusional state that everything is going to be allright is some kind of super tough macho fan. Someone's going to mention the trenches soon.tim_noone wrote:Come on Bill he means Burnley Players... Not the top six prima Donna types!
BTW, we all know that Burnley players are tougher, straighter and better role models than those of the other 19 clubs; it's a given

Re: Today's football
Today’s results were a potential disaster, ‘Murphy’s law’ showed up in droves! I was watching a couple of games earlier, when I went out to run errands, Southampton and Newcastle were losing, Brighton tied and Cardiff winning, so I figured no harm done considering we’re expecting a loss Sunday. Got back home, checked the results…….. and…..wallop…..what could go wrong, did go wrong.
No question survival is now in our own hands, we can’t expect any help from others. Squeaky bum time lads!

Re: Today's football
Today really was an absolute disaster for us, but credit to the other teams who got results there when their backs are well and truly against the wall. Our fightback has to start tomorrow! (Well let's be fair, probably next week!! Maybe! Hopefully! )
Re: Today's football
You have some very strange thoughts. I'm sure someone, somewhere thinks that Cardiff deserve to finish ahead of us - though I'm not sure on what grounds - but to imagine that the majority do, that is a strange and illogical conclusion.Devils_Advocate wrote:... but I think most of us would agree that Cardiff deserve to finish ahead of us ...

Re: Today's football
God didn't take much for the doom mongers to resurface did it,we still have a better than evens chance of survival, that Cardiff game is looking vital now though,i don't expect anything tomorrow, but the next 2 home matches we really need at least 4 points.

Let's not forget Bournemouth either.tiger76 wrote:God didn't take much for the doom mongers to resurface did it,we still have a better than evens chance of survival, that Cardiff game is looking vital now though,i don't expect anything tomorrow, but the next 2 home matches we really need at least 4 points.
There are a few with very short memories. Obviously they have forgotten how we scored three at Brighton. No doubt down to pure luck.

I don't think anyone forgets, but the last two performances have been pretty poor considering what went before. Hopefully we can eek out a few more wins by returning to some sort of formSpijed wrote:Let's not forget Bournemouth either.
