HT.
Marriner having a poor one but no complaints about the goals.
We’ve had two head injuries. He didn’t stop the game for the Bardsley, accidental one, and I’d like to see the Barnes one again as he was stood tall when he was caught.
Could have been a fk for us, in a decent position, when A-A took out Dwight.
Changes needed.

The score is good considering our performance. It has to be better in the second half or the final score could be a bit embarrassing

Scousers here can't believe how badly we are defending, asking where has our rep as a hard to breakdown team gone?

I liked the decision when marriner was waiting to see if Liverpool had an advantage, ball went to mane who caught it , so he brought play back. Surely it was handball as the whistle hadn't gone.

The ref missing a foul on McNeil in their half has nothing to do with the the fact that we have given away one sloppy goal and one, which was awful defending. Even Macmanama has said Burnley need to do more than knocking hopeful balls in the general direction of their strikers. I know we are playing a good team but our ball retention is awful and our service to Wood and Barnes is non existant. I'm not certain who is on the bench but I would bring JBG and possibly Brady on.

There could be a 5 page thread just like when Hart made a mistake like that, I can't remember 1 though but there used to be a lot of Joe Hart threads.

Agreed, him and Drury sounded genuinely gutted when we went ahead. Awful bias that detracts from the game instead of adding to it. A stadium sound option without commentators would be very welcome.

Bit of confusion for their first and a jammy drop for their second, lifes not fair sometimes. Tough game, Liverpool are a class team, but we are still in with a shout of getting something from this.

A win to silence those two talking muppets would be very welcome, never mind the points.

Didn't expect McNeil to start, thought Gudmunson would get the nod. He's lazy at times McNeil. Do we know how to clear a ball?

The big difference was that Hart was never 'one of our own' and, to be honest, despite making some good saves the defence looked awful when he was behind it.

For me, we’re playing as well as we could expect and I think we’re unlucky to be losing. Liverpool are a top side and yet actual shots on target is only 2 which they’ve scored.

Changes for me would be JBG for McNeil at about 60 minutes when McNeil tires, then Crouch for Wood at about 70 depending upon score line. If we’re still in with a chance, I’d do that if not, I’d swap Barnes instead.

Fair comment, perhaps both wide men off then and Brady and JBG on. McNeil will tire

Its a big factor. Boot it up and shoot on sight, with this wind it could go anywhere. If the players can't predict where it will land neither can the goalkeeper. We might get lucky.

Not a day for accurate crossing, keep JBG on the bench.

It wouldn't surprise me if the bt commentators are wearing red shirts, We need to score just to shut them up.
