The only way you can stop a nutter running onto the pitch is a line of stewards with linked arms, fences, or fans being 100% aware that this is not acceptable under any circumstances and stopping it happening before it starts.

Seen a video on Twitter where a steward gets arrested after the villa goal. Think he shoved grealish. Great tweet by Danny baker who said he would have looked to have been the copper who knocked on the cell door to inform the prisoner that grealish had scored the winner.

There have various other job roles on a match day, I personally think confronting & bringing down out of order fans is going beyond the call of duty & I’m not surprised nor expectant of them to do that, taking into consideration what they get paid & some may have families back at home, you need specialist security services for that kind of business.

I think it was a photographer, not a steward.

edit, apparently he was back behind the goal a few minutes later, was probably trying to protect all his camera gear as it was being trampled upon.
