Birmingham "fan" punches Jack Grealish
Birmingham "fan" punches Jack Grealish
As per title, a fan runs on the pitch and punches Jack Grealish in the 9th minute.
I say punch, He came from behind and delivered a very poor punch.
Shocking, I expect the book thrown at both fan and club!

I must say the restraint from the players (of both teams) was excellent. Personally I wouldn’t have found the strength to not kick the scrote a few times and stud him where it hurts

That guy is not a football fan.
FFS they will bring back fences if idiots like that carry on.
Massive rise in knife crime and this happens.
What if he had had a knife.
His mates should kick his head in.

The scrote was waving to the fans as he was escorted off like he was some kind of star - shockingly poor punch though giving the advantage he had coming from behind - Grealish and Villa lucky really.
as for City - just another reason to deduct points and talk of multiple behind closed door games and a big fine when they are already in dire financial straits

He did, but not from the punch.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Grealish was entitled to go down. Did he?
Free hit from behind and delivered a very weak effort. Grealish just got up.
Then he saluted the crowd getting dragged off. He should be embarrassed on every level the coward.

What was the outcome of the b*stards fan who ran on the pitch to have a go at Westwood? This one's worse but they're similar incidents.

Slap on wrist and dont do it again off the law, and the bonus of being banned from Ewood for a period of time.lucs86 wrote:What was the outcome of the b*stards fan who ran on the pitch to have a go at Westwood? This one's worse but they're similar incidents.

A coward, sneaking up from behind. Things have to change, this guy must receive a custodial sentence, not suspended, he needs to be locked up, a jail term will be a deterrent for some of these mindless idiots.

With the knife crime that Birmingham has suffered recently this coward could well get sent down. Even if as an example.
Personally I’d make them report to their local cop shop to sit in a cell from 2hours before kick off until 2 hours after for every game within 50miles. 2years of that might make others think on.

What has knife crime got anything to do with some idiot running on to the pitch and attacking a player ?
Grealish was also kneed in the back after he scored

Re: Birmingham "fan" punches Jack Grealish
Some of these footballers nowadays are hard nuts from very rough backgrounds. Combine that with huge wealth and it isn't hard to see situations whereby the idiotic fan has to watch his back in his normal day to day life. You'd like to think the footballer would know better but we aren't always dealing with the brightest bulb in the box.
Not condoning that of course, but you have to be a total muppet to take on some of these characters. It would be safer taking on Don Corleone (for those of a certain age).

The fact the fan could have had a blade, I guess you could argue you could potentially be in danger in any scenario it’s not exclusive to a football pitch being stabbed, it would be less likely due to the witnesses & the certainty of conviction.joey13 wrote:What has knife crime got anything to do with some idiot running on to the pitch and attacking a player ?

But football is the scenario where you will get people saying 'he could have had a knife'.Jakubclaret wrote:The fact the fan could have had a blade, I guess you could argue you could potentially be in danger in any scenario it’s not exclusive to a football pitch being stabbed, it would be less likely due to the witnesses & the certainty of conviction.
I mean coming on to the pitch and punching a player from behind isn't shocking enough.
He could have had a rocket propelled grenade.

So apparently the 17 year old girl stabbed and killed might have been a gang initiation task.joey13 wrote:What has knife crime got anything to do with some idiot running on to the pitch and attacking a player ?

So I put it to you if some smack head wanting to get into a Birmingham gang was given the test of stabbing a Villa player , could that happen.
I am just worried about the effect on us, supporters.
Could be one incident from full bag and pocket checks and quick pat down.

Personally, I'd have Birmingham playing a game or two behind closed doors.
No doubt some will say that is punishing the genuine supporters, but there has to be some sort of punishment.

Maybe so, perhaps they could be light in numbers, I’m not privy to the stewarding arrangements at bcfc, it could have been more likely a reluctance to engage due to the possibility of a knife as already mentioned.fidelcastro wrote:If they bring those back, then I'll stop going!
