Charlie Taylor
Charlie Taylor
Becoming one of the best left backs in the Prem.
Re: Charlie Taylor
Taylor makes 2 of the best goal saving tackles you'll see, and they score with the next touch...
Made some great blocks too.
MOM by a mile, felt for him today.

Becoming a good player for us but doubt hed get in many other Prem teams first 11 and woulndt even be 2nd choice for a fair few teams
Re: Charlie Taylor
He'd get in as many if not more than any other player in the team.Devils_Advocate wrote:Becoming a good player for us but doubt hed get in many other Prem teams first 11 and woulndt even be 2nd choice for a fair few teams
You do realise we are 4th bottom? We are there for a reason.

Re: Charlie Taylor
Im not knocking Taylor i rate him just responding to the opening post claiming he's one of the best left backs in the prem league cos that he aint like any of our other players as you rightly point outMACCA wrote:He'd get in as many if not more than any other player in the team.

Re: Charlie Taylor
Playing very well at the minute. If a handful of the others played to a similar standard we wouldn’t be in our current predicament.
Re: Charlie Taylor
Based on recent games he probably is. Do you disagree and if so name them? If the OP means more generally over a longer period he's wrong.Devils_Advocate wrote:Im not knocking Taylor i rate him just responding to the opening post claiming he's one of the best left backs in the prem league cos that he aint like any of our other players as you rightly point out

Re: Charlie Taylor
Him and McNeil were the massive positives.
The inability of us to defend properly was the biggest negative by quite some distance.

Re: Charlie Taylor
Our left side is really impressive. The rest leaves a lot to be desired.

Re: Charlie Taylor
There was no mentions of recent games in the opening post so dont just imply what you want to argue your own point. But off top of my head here's 15 better left backs than Taylortaio wrote:Based on recent games he probably is. Do you disagree and if so name them? Alonso
Robertson
Davies
Rose
Holibas
Shaw
Young
Chilwell
Mendy
Digne
Bissaka
Zinchenko
Monreal
Castro
Creswell

Last two games he's been our best player by a long way pity they were both defeats

Young has played right back pretty much all season too.Tall Paul wrote:Wan-Bissaka is a right back.

So he's played left back loafs and is a better left back than taylortaio wrote:Young has played right back pretty much all season too.
Re: Charlie Taylor
Depends on whether the OP is referring to just a few performances. If he's not then as I say he's wrong. You don't half take being a devil's advocate too far mind.Devils_Advocate wrote:So he's played left back loafs and is a better left back than taylor

Did you just spell his name wrong or do you really not know what you're talking about!Devils_Advocate wrote:Meant the other one van aanholt is it!?

Re: Charlie Taylor
Taylor is better than half of DAs cast whether they play RB or LB.
defensively he has come on fantastically but he came with this great rep as an attacking FB and it’s not showing.
His partnership with McNeil is a long way of Ward/Brady also. Work needed there.

Re: Charlie Taylor
Come on ive said i rate Taylor and think he's doung geeat but saying he's becoming one of the best left backs in the league is rubbish and ive just contested that on a discussion board.taio wrote:Depends on whether the OP is referring to just a few performances. Taylor has established himself as our #1 left back and is fast becoming a prem standard full back which many on here doubted he was good enough to do early on this season
I think posters like tou are too sensitive to opinion that isnt 100% positive as dont really see anything controversial in my post or opinion

Re: Charlie Taylor
He’s been a big positive over the past two months but he’s not even close to being one of the best in the league.

Re: Charlie Taylor
I'm a big Stephen Ward fan and was looking forward to his return as I thought Charlie wasn't up to the standard required, I stand corrected, he just needs some luck because some of his blocks and tackles were outstanding today.
Long may this run of form continue.

Re: Charlie Taylor
He was outstanding today in a very poor, timid, display from the rest of his teammates (with the exception of Dwight McNeil).
