Virgil van Dijk
Currently the best centre half in the world?
Sheer class. He reads the game so much quicker than others. He’s always bloody there!

Re: Virgil van Dijk
You need him to be good if you are playing Alexander Arnold because today he was absolutely useless.

Re: Virgil van Dijk
Excellent player, but let's be honest, we didn't cause him many problems today, did we?

Re: Virgil van Dijk
Next question:
Who would you add to the partner him to make the best CB paring in the world....
I’d say Varane
bonus question: would Ben Mee make him better?

Agreed.
Remember watching him against us for Southampton. Me and a mate were convinced he would be going to RM or Barca. He went to Liverpool, but there's time yet.

Re: Virgil van Dijk
Liverpool would be very, very, very vulnerable at the back without him.
He's immense.

Re: Virgil van Dijk
Hard to disagree. Man mountain definsively and in the opposition box.
That said when under pressure his distribution isnt the best.
Celtic paid around 2m for him from Holland. Another example of the bargains available abroad.
Actually saw him once when at a Southampton Norwich game as a neutral. I couldnt believe how big he was in real life.

Re: Virgil van Dijk
One of the best players I've ever seen "live" over the past few seasons, but today I didn't think was his most composed game tbh.

Re: Virgil van Dijk
It’s hard not to seem like you’re jumping on the bandwagon, but he really is a cut above. Effortless.

Re: Virgil van Dijk
He's certainly one who can handle our Ashley at his own game.
And that's a compliment.
