£50 for a Birthday Greeting on the Screen!!
Its my birthday later this week & Mrs Cal was planning on putting a message/pic on the screen, from her & my boys, but then told me the club charge £50 to put a message on! Anyone know if thats true?

It’s probably more now they’ve put a new larger screen up that no one can see.

In fairness if there are 17,000 Clarets in attendance at any given match then it will likely be 47 of them's birthday and if it were free we'd probably be looking at screen-message overload. Particularly as people whose birthday was coming up in the following week would probably want in also. Maybe it's a deterrent ?

i don't object to a charge, maybe it could be 50% off for ST holders? I think people would also be shocked when they realise how much it is to put any announcement in the Burnley Express. You would think they would be glad of the content at this point

£50? Save your money and buy a decent bottle of Alta Gran Reserva.

There used to be a discount for season ticket holders but it appears not now, it’s a straight £50.ZizkovClaret wrote:i don't object to a charge, maybe it could be 50% off for ST holders? If you’re stupid enough to pay for it then fair play to the club for mugging gullible people off. Might as well.

Maybe pop down and see Ronald McDonald and have a few photos taken (or has he been "outed" and is now persona non grata?)
Re: £50 for a Birthday Greeting on the Screen!!
I've put messages on the screen twice, for Claret friends 50th and 65th birthdays, without them knowing about it. They were both pleased to have something different to remember as a special birthday memory. By the time you've bought a card and a (sometimes unwanted) present, there's not a lot of difference between that and a screen message.

It's £100 once the other screen goes up, I'd get in now.
