This game has been shite, but towering header by VVD puts Liverpool 2-1 up.

Some people think Liverpool are a tiresome annoying team.
For me what's worse is a stagnant 'richest team wins' league. So happy when Leicester won it and should Liverpool then fair play to them.

Pool are far more authentic than the oil backed propaganda device that is City.

Renlto Sanchez coming on, the press wouldn't stop cooing over his loan to Swansea.
Didn't help them and goes to show the summer window does not guarantee success.

Exactly, that's why I think we'll be ok because we are capable of playing to similar levels for then next few matches.

4 out of 4 in the last 8. Chelsea very likely in Europa. You never know about Arsenal!

UEFA will be fuming with that one. At least two of the English teams will be drawing each other next round.

Absolutely no chance the elite will risk an all English final.

Why?

I’m sure they’d prefer Utd, Liverpool through than Bayern and PSG. City have more appeal than Schalke and Dortmund ain’t exactly a massive team.

Don't think having 4 English teams in the last 8 is anything to be proud of really, just shows the obscene amount of money that is flowing through the Premier League compared to the other leagues in Europe.

This game aside.

Watch Luis Suarez win a penalty for Barca. He actually manages to stamp on the defenders leg before going down!

Not a stamp it's a step.
2nd angle shows how far the defender was from getting the ball, Suarez takes full advantage but these days that not even controversial.

We scored two more than Bayern against them and at Anfield and with only a 2-goal deficit and thanks to a few uncharactaristic errors and a bit of bad luck.

Bloody rubbish Burnley! Call that a team?

When it was the league winners from each European league it was a true champions contest now teams finishing fourth get to play its a joke competition that Ive never watched.Despite the Sky hype Liverpool will win nothing again this year.

My dream Champions League scenario..

QF
City V Tottenham - City win, utter demolition job
Liverpool V Ajax - Liverpool win albeit fortunately
Man utd v Juventus - Utd win despite Ronaldo hattrick
Barcelona v Porto - Barcelona win, routine stuff

SF

City V Man Utd - Man Utd win in epic 2 legged affair
Liverpool V Barcelona - Pool win, magical Anfield night

Liverpool lose PL title to City on final day, last minute, with it in their hands.

Final
Man Utd V Liverpool - Man U win 4-3 with two deserved injury time goals, Rashford, greatest final ever etc, nobody ever stops talking about it, Gerrard spotted weeping in the stands etc etc we all have a giggle, summer of 2019 goes on to be one of the hottest on record, everyone happy.

Pretty sure Bayern are fan owned, if they aren't they definitely have some kind of say. Bit different to the likes of City and Chelsea selling their soul to be a rich man's plaything or a propaganda machine.

75% of Bayern is owned by the members. The rest of it is owned by the likes of Allianz, Adidas and Audi.
Yes it’s a very democratic club with the large percentage of member ownership but it’s also a club that dwarfs the rest of the league in terms of its riches / wealth with huge sponsorship deals from the likes of Allianz and Adidas.
So good combination I suppose - democratic and filthy rich with the big sponsors / shareholders not having a majority say over the members / fans.
