Heads up anyone heading to the match from further afield. M66 is currently closed due to flooding.

Absolutely horrible conditions today, I was out running earlier and so many areas are flooded, it was up to my ankles at timesSteve-Harpers-perm wrote:Heads up anyone heading to the match from further afield. M66 is currently closed due to flooding.
Fair play to you for going out running in it!Burnley1989 wrote:Absolutely horrible conditions today, I was out running earlier and so many areas are flooded, it was up to my ankles at times
Thanks for this. In fact the M66 has been a nightmare for the past 2 matches.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Heads up anyone heading to the match from further afield. M66 is currently closed due to flooding.
Thats closed. Just drove to liverpool and roads were horrendous but quiet.2 Bee Holed wrote:Thanks for this. In fact the M66 has been a nightmare for the past 2 matches.
Also AA Road Watch are showing there is also a problem on Manchester Rd in Burnley, is that correct?
Yes it's closed from the roundabout at Trafalgar street down to Finsley Gate for some works being carried out to an old pipeline, that's attached to the bridge and overhanging the canal. Been there a few weeks mind.2 Bee Holed wrote:Thanks for this. In fact the M66 has been a nightmare for the past 2 matches.

The section near to where the Inn on the Wharf was has been closed for the last four weeks. Signs in the area indicated the closure ended yesterday, but it may still be closed today?2 Bee Holed wrote:Thanks for this. In fact the M66 has been a nightmare for the past 2 matches.

That is a Premier League rulePimlico_Claret wrote:Bet we still water the pitch at half time!
Thanks. It's no surprise that it's still closed. I've walked through that section almost every day since the closure started, and there has been little activity.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Yes definitely is mate
That was the last time I watched Burnley play Leicester. The pitch was dreadful that day! I took some pics as well.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Similar to when we played Leicester on New Years Day in 2005. Hopefully the pitch in better shape today!

That match should never have started and it ruined the pitch for the rest of the season.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Similar to when we played Leicester on New Years Day in 2005. Hopefully the pitch in better shape today!

If you look "Not Robbie" had realised his error in the following postChester Perry wrote:That is the M65
I wonder if they’ll have the foresight to also resurface that stretch of road whilst the road closure is in place.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:Thanks. It's no surprise that it's still closed. Where abouts. Ive just come back into burnley on it after leaving on it earlier today and was wet but open both ways.MRG wrote:M65 is now closed too
Also horrendous against Leicester on 11-12-82. The match where Alan Stevenson was sent off after sliding about 15yds taking out a Leicester player. We lost 2-4 and in my opinion it went a long way to our eventual relegation.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Similar to when we played Leicester on New Years Day in 2005. Not seen this reported anywhere else so assume its a hilarious wind upcricketfieldclarets wrote:Where abouts. Ive just come back into burnley on it after leaving on it earlier today and was wet but open both ways.
