dilly dallying - schoolboy error playing the ball inside while defending

Painful defeat, we're still in deep trouble

He’s shocking, in every way possible.

Worst signing we’ve ever made on a cost basis? 13m?

I mean we should have been paid to sign Leon Cort, but I get your drift...

Always been ****. Always get a game.

He and Hendrick are probably why the board don't give Dyche money anymore.

He's an over rated arrogant little dick who thinks he's better than he really is. I hope we ship him out this summer. His crossing and free kicks since coming back have been awful

Not the most intelligent decisions by Brady but thought Mee was more to blame for not being able to control a simple pass

This but people love Mee so his mistakes get constantly overlooked. If he controlled a simple pass this thread would not exist

I agree. But as much as I think Mee should have done better, he shouldnt have been put in that position.

If so, partly at fault for both goals

Both to blame. Certain inevitably when they scored

A disaster between Brady and the ever awful and seemingly undroppable Ben Mee.
A brainless ball inside no doubt but come on Ben ffs.

He had one good season 15/16.
Not seen anything close to that since.

Signed for crossed and set pieces (a poor man's Snodgrass when we didn't land him) and he's been bobbins at both for an age. Injury seems to have finished him.

Yeah it's obviously Brady's fault that Ben Mee isn't good enough to deal with a simple pass on his favoured foot.

Mee got in position if Brady had given him it first time. Brady then carried it back towards him giving him more problems than he could handle.

It was all Brady's doing; it is the last min and as a professional he should know not to **** around near your own box, never mind when your team is in a relegation scrap and you need every point going. He should have just got it under control, swivelled and got it up the pitch out of danger area. Simple as!

If we’re digging Brady out, let’s not let Tarkowski off the hook for that brainless free kick he gave away for their opening goal.

Taylor, Westwood, Bardsley and McNeil were the only players that looked like they gave a **** today, that's the saddest thing of all

Go to agree with that, but include Heaton too. It’s not they don’t care, I think the fear is setting in again, but those players can deal with it better than the others

if the fear has set in then we need to change the team and bring in lads with nothing to lose. The one lad who looks to play with the most fear is Cork and yet he is the first name on the team sheet.

Midfield two worry me Westwood and Cork they have gone back to pre Xmas form. We only have Hendrick on the bench who can play centre midfield.
Very worrying

Rubbish. His free kicks are crap. His delivery is worse than pretty much every other wide player we have including Bardsley. Westwood's delivery from set pieces was better too.

He never gets it past the first man.

I'd rather play Joe Hart in midfield than Cork at this moment in time - THAT is how poor Cork is

Brady - the winger who can’t cross the ball

We were undefeated in 8, but more importantly we played some good stuff in those games.
Then we go to Newcastle and start hoofing the ball all over the place, straight onto the heads of their central defenders.
Since then, it seems like we are going backwards again.
Add to that some schoolboy errors while defending and we're back in trouble.

Mees fault for me. In hindsight it looks a poor decision by Brady to pass it to Mee but it wasn't inaccurate and Mee just totally miscontrolled it when in clear space. As has been said had Mee done his job properly it would have been down the field and nothing would have been said..in fact Brady would have been applauded for getting out of a tight situation. Fickle beyond belief some people.

Same discussion as last week with Hendrick

Schoolboy logic tells you never to play a ball inside, certainly not in your own penalty area. Admittedly, Mee could have done better, but he should not have been put in that position in the first place. I'm sure a defensive disciplinarian like Dyche will not be happy about this

If Brady is getting dug out (which I’m not entirley against as it was careless/ needless) then so should Barnes for the first because his inept pass towards our goal, in middle
of the pitchled to maddison leading Tarks a merry dance.

That first free kick reminded me very much of Evertons so Heaton also at fault and the second we should have dealt with corner and cross on so many fronts and didn’t.

I’ve faced the fact tonight that we are genuinely rank and a championship side in the making, if not this then highly
Likely next.

If you think that Brady was at fault less than Mee then you need serious help.

Mee lack of concentration is the issue here, which is absolutely appalling under the circumstances.

Brady hasn't been great mind, but you can't blame him for doing the right thing and Mee messing it up.

Brady had turned to face his own byline being closed down..Mee was in space and available..it wasnt a bad pass. Mee had time to contol and clear..IF he had done hos job right...but yes lets all blame Brady. If Mee wasn't expecting it i would be asking why the hell not considering Brady was looking for a way out. Mee was the easy way out considering the space he was in. Mee should take the majority of the blame for it.

Brady was faffing about. Unnecesarily twisting and turning and showboating. By his own box at one all in a vital game in the 90th minute.

Mee wasnt great. But we all know mee is no 'footballing' centre half. Needless.

Why not? It was in his defensive area and he was in space to receive the ball with a teammmate looking for help and a way out. Taking your argument i would be asking why the hell he wasn't expecting it..it is his job to be alert.
