Funny all you people coming out of the woodwork now saying how poor Brady is. I said this back in 17 and got slated on here !

Like last season, it takes Brady a long time, after a break (injury) to get up to speed, he's not an impact player. So, he's not a good option in a struggling side. Time to move him on, simply not for Burnley, file alongside Defour.

I thought he was superb in the first half of last season.

Blame culture, live and kicking, right here, right now. At least our players stick together. More than our ‘supporters’ who seemingly can’t wait to stick the boot in.

I can accept defeat. Like most can. But its the manner.

We got beat today with very little skill. Decent free kick granted.

Last week we let 4 in against Liverpool. It will happen to others. But none of it was skill. It was all self inflicted.

Its the constant self destruction thats frustrating.

Mee lack of concentration is the issue here, which is absolutely appalling under the circumstances.

Brady hasn't been great mind, but you can't blame him for doing the right thing and Mee messing it up.
Sorry - completely disagree LC.
Why was the right thing to flick it with the outside of his foot ? As someone else said the problem with Brady is that he thinks he is a lot better than he is.
Brady is not a team player - he plays for himself. His cameos since he has come back have been awful and even the one thing he used to be decent at and pretty reliable - his dead balls - has also gone to ratsh-it.

As for Ben Mee I thought both him and Tarks were absolutely awful today. Cork did not have a good game but he was bang on shouting at Mee for continuously lumping the ball up instead of giving a simple short pass to a player like Westwood.

The most disappointing thing about today - even worse than what that idiot Brady did - was that we did not have players on the pitch who were prepared to be brave and change the way we were playing and unfortunately the way Dyche was telling them to play. Today was a day for players to take things into their own hands and trust the likes of Westwood to play football instead of whatever the f-uck game we were trying to play.

I’ll juat say this for those slating Brady, he actually won the ball back before passing to Mee, now granted, with hindsight, he should then have hoofed it up pitch (but we fans don’t want hoofball remember!) he decided to try and keep possession and passed it to Mee, who didn’t do the right thing and hoof it up pitch either. It was a mistake, but I understood why Brady tried to keep the ball in our possession after he made the effort to win it back.

Brady has been out for most of the season and has come on as sub for a couple of cameos. Mee, however, I think, has had a very poor season, simply too many mistakes, poor man to man marking, not the player he was: would Gibson be better ?

Yes. Yes he would.

CT's report puts it in better perspective. I didn't remember there was a corner in between the mix-up and the goal. So Brady shouldn't take the full pelt for that one.
However, Mee was IMO rightly upset that Brady played the ball inside in the first place.
Brady has still not convinced me

Brady played a perfectly decent ball into Ben Mee's favoured left foot. But somehow it's Brady's fault that Mee isn't composed enough to perform a simple clearance under no real pressure.

Brady could/should have performed the exact same left foot clearance rather than shanking it into his own penalty area. Defending a throw in wouldn't have been a disaster. It's Brady who is at fault. Utter stupidity.

we saw why Mee will never get an England call up, yes Brady was unwise to not just hoof it but it wasn't that difficult for Mee to control

Why would you bring on a player who’s been injured for the best part of a year right at the death in a must win game when other options are available, Brady is a great player but as he’s shown he takes at least ten games to get into a season and we haven’t got that time right now. Either start him or leave him on the bench, unfortunate for him McNeil has taken his chance with both hands and he can’t get in the side as a starter.

Brady should have cleared his lines end off. You don't try and play football in your own box under pressure, you get shut

No he didn’t - he played a stupid ball with the outside of his foot at pace to Mee who can’t have been expecting or wanting the ball there.
What did Brady expect Mee to do with it ? Play a one two ? Maybe a few keep ups in his own area ? The only thing he could do was control it and then hoof it - so why did Brady not clear his lines instead. The surface was wet through and he pinged it to him at pace - it was beyond stupid

And that is what f**ked things up. We were in disarray from that point on. We had zero composure or strategy after that mistake. It was a very very poor decision from Brady.

At the point of his injury, against Bournemouth, he was playing at his best. However, he is currently a liability, as he thinks he is still that good and he is way off.

To mess around like he did yesterday, was worthy of being shot at dawn.

Why he takes the set pieces, I have no idea. One flash in the pan does not make a job for life.

You should never give a hospital pass back into your own penalty area

Would rather a knackered JBG or DM stay on the whole game than bring him on as a sub at present

Brady hasn't really been able to do much since returning from his injury
and has looked tentative at best. Almost frightened at times.
He can play (as he has shown in the past) but he's lacking confidence
and certainly not ready to start ahead of McNeil or JBG.

He needs game time but at present the only way he's likely to get it
is if someone gets injured. I doubt he's played even 90 minutes overall
since the beginning of February.

Doesn't have to be a hospital pass, but it's a bad idea to pass into a dangerous area...but were there any decent options? Because at present we don't have many players making good angles to receive the ball. This has a lot of bearing as to why we knock it around fairly aimlessly until we get picked off.
