He's been great for us and has given me and lots of others great memories but I've had enough.

I thought the question was going to be before the International break.
I've always supported him, but today was pretty indefensible.

Re: Leave or Remain
It's a tough one because if we stay up he will have done his job and if we are relegated I doubt there will be anyone in a better position to get us back up. He has a shedload of credit in the bank, but I do agree that some of these performances have been poor and it's his inability to change things when needed that seems to frustrate most people.

Re: Leave or Remain
He had loads of credit in the bank for what he’s done for our club but he is now into his overdraft so a change is now required.
Re: Leave or Remain
If there’s a person at our club who deserves to be in control of such a decision, it’s Dyche.
This season has been riddled with mistakes, Dyche included but he’s enough credit to show he has learned. Hopefully the recruitment begins to improve in the summer, as a starter for ten and from there, the style becomes a little more pleasing on the eye.

That is why I think Dyche will walk away at the end of the season,he's running out of credit and ruining a fantastic legacy.DCWat wrote:If there’s a person at our club who deserves to be in control of such a decision, it’s Dyche.

Hasn't he got 4 years left of a 5 year deal worth in excess of £3million a year?

Re: Leave or Remain
I just want to see us try and play decent football, I couldn't care less who the manager is that makes us do that
Re: Leave or Remain
Leave or Remain? I'm having this thought @ the moment on next season's renewal of season ticket! @ the moment I'm leave n if I feel the same Monday morning I'm sending email to cancel.. absolutely shocking performance today from the boys n dyche..
Re: Leave or Remain
I’m not sure he is ruining his legacy. I think he will still think he can push us on further and that recruitment is the next step in that process.Steve1956 wrote:That is why I think Dyche will walk away at the end of the season,he's running out of credit and ruining a fantastic legacy.
If he leaves us with a good scouting network, recruitment team, academy and new training facilities, it’s some legacy and one we will benefit from, for years to come.
I hope he’s not finished his journey with us yet, although must admit I was hugely disappointed with his approach today.

Who’s taking him? That’s what may keep him here. Probably still the best available option for a return anyway - exceptional championship record.

Re: Leave or Remain
I’d like him to leave but feel he will remain. No doubt all the scaremongering will come out telling us that leave is a fantasy and unworkable but I feel the long term future is better off without the restrictive framework.
Re: Leave or Remain
Not a chance in hell of Dyche walking away from his 3.5 million quid a year deal! Can't see anyone else coming in for him either so think he'll be with us for a while yet.Steve1956 wrote:That is why I think Dyche will walk away at the end of the season,he's running out of credit and ruining a fantastic legacy.

Quite a lot of water to flow under the bridge before the end of the season, lose at home to Cardiff and it will get toxic.....time will tell it's going to be some ride.jrgbfc wrote:Not a chance in hell of Dyche walking away from his 3.5 million quid a year deal! If we stay up, he stays. If we get relegated, he stays. There's one thing for sure though - he will need a substantial war chest if we stay up.
Re: Leave or Remain
I'm on the fence with this one. My own view is that we've neve properly replaced Barton, I thought he was such an influential player for the group.

So you think you could have been the same manager in this time, with player power. The money they earn and power they they have.boatshed bill wrote:Harry Potts, no doubt in my mind.
Two very different times.
However if your going back that far, that kinda tells me it would take that long to find another Dyche.

No, but I seriously believe that Potts was a better manager in his era than Dyche is in his.Lowbankclaret wrote:So you think you could have been the same manager in this time, with player power. The money they earn and power they they have.

Dyche may very likely be my second best though.

Re: Leave or Remain
Go to be honest here, if we go down from where we are, I'd probably think its time for a change.
Still not 100% sure, but that was a million miles below what we is required
EDIT
Can't decide to be honest and its not a good time to comment on these sorts of threads after a performance like that.

Re: Leave or Remain
Today I felt the anxiety of the crowd transmitted onto the pitch.
Second I thought the players relaxed a bit when they went down to ten men and just thought it would happen that we would win.
Wood was hiding by standing offside all game. Players looked to play a long ball and saw he was offside and could not play that ball and then made bad decisions.

Curbishley kept Charlton in the premier till the fans got him removed. Look what happened after. Learn from history, it has a habit of repeating itselfVegas Claret wrote:no player or manager is bigger than a football club, some of you would be wise to remember that

Dyche, also, is well past his sell by date.
Re: Leave or Remain
I'd rather Garlick left, but to be fair if Mr Dyche did leave I wouldn't lose much sleep as long as we appointed a pro active forward thinking manager.
I'm not going to lie, I would like to see a better brand of football, with maybe 1 or 2 young exciting players playing.

What's happening is sod's law now. The seeds were sewn in the last 2 transfer windows when we were woefully poor. We have no options in cm.
If we go down with a fortune in the bank it will be utter madness.
All we can do us get behind the team and hope.

Re: Leave or Remain
I’ll be honest, I’ve just bought a house that’s way out of my price range but if I make cuts I’ll be ok. I’ve decided not to renew next year because I’ve stopped enjoying it, haven’t enjoyed it for a few years... never thought I’d get like this because I lived and breathed Burnley. To be fair this doesn’t really have much to do with Dyche, I just don’t enjoy watching us anymore. I still support us massively and I’ll pick and choose games (probably end up on most) if we go down Dyche is definitely the man though

REMAIN
If we stay up or if we go down Sean has to stay, because we need somebody to keep Rigg in check for the time being.
Handing over the strategic reins to Rigg, along with whatever patsy of a Head Coach he might choose to bring in, would seal our future fate and allow misfortune the opportunity to dance on our grave - like QPR or Fulham.
