Player of the year awards bash

Post by Quickenthetempo » Mon Mar 18, 2019 12:42 pm

The club seem to be advertising this constantly over and over again.

It must mean there hasn't been that big an uptake in sales as past years seemed to sell out very quickly with no need for the club to be advertising as much.

Is anyone going off here?

It’s unusual timing this year as we still have to play Arsenal a week after the Awards night. So, our fate may still be in the balance.
I’ve been twice and it’s an excellent evening.
Unfortunately, I can’t go this year.
They do advertise it pretty strongly each year.

Not going. Never have. But whatever happens and despite thelimited time he has had, without wanting to put too much pressure on him McNeil deserves ALL the plaudits by having the balls, mentality and skill to step up and try drag us to safety while at the same time playing football.

I’ve toyed with the idea of going as my 8 year old son wants to go, but not sure it’s the right event for him and I’ve told him it’s for adults only.

Is this correct, before he tells me his mates are going.........?

Don't recall having seen any kids there before. It's quite a noisy, boozy do, so not really suitable for kids.

PS - If you're a member of one of the supporters clubs, the supporters clubs awards night is very kid friendly and would be ideal for him but tickets are only available via supporters clubs.

Players seem so remote from fans now in every aspect iof their lives you might as well email/post them their awards. Can’t be many contenders this year. Player of year maybe Westwood or McNeil. Most improved Charlie Taylor.

Well our players are certainly not remote at both of the awards events! More than happy to chat to fans, sign autographs, have their photos taken with fans etc.

I asked the same thing as the 13yr old step daughter is coming with us, they didn't have an issue with her attending as long as we knew it could become colourful later on as no doubt the drink flows.....

Thanks Leisure, that’s as I thought and unfortunately we aren’t a member of a supporters club so that rules the other option out. Thank you though.

Thanks also to buzzclaret for your advice.

I went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. Went on the silver package but doing the gold one this year to see if it's worth the £40 extra; we'll see on that!

Westwood has to be the real shout for me.
