I'm not happy because I just discovered that I missed British Pie Week earlier this month http://www.national-awareness-days.com/ ... -pie-week/.
To restore some degree of happiness, I'm going to pretend its Wednesday 6th March today and have a pie anyway (and some mushy peas to lift me even further towards fulfilment).

As an aside what are people’s outside temperature on this auspicious day in your areas, we are 17c down here.

Its "only" 12C here in north Hampshire but at least it's relatively still. It seems to have been windy for ages around here which always makes it feel a few degrees lower than thermometer records.
It feels pretty much like spring though; Ive seen a bee and a wasp in the last couple of days and the magnolias are all out. I saw a (Brimstone) butterfly a couple of weeks ago too but I think that's probably been blown far away by now.

Interesting as we are both in the south but different sides.

Wind now dropped here as well, there have been bumblebees here for about a month or so now, but saw my first butterfly an hour ago in our back garden.

Despite little sunshine the solar panels have been generating on average 6kw so far today, and with the very mild winter we are probably in for one of the best down here for generation.

Hopefully the supermarkets will still sell me a pie even though it isn't pie week any more.

I'll go into my Brexit bunker if not - it's full of microwavable Holland's meat and tater pies. I've been on a panic buy rampage.
