League One Table

Post by Claretforever » Sat Mar 23, 2019 8:06 pm

A general observation that it’s blooming tight in the third tier going into the final run of games.

Accrington Stanley, from being outside promotion candidates a few months ago have dropped perilously close to the bottom 4 after a run of 2-4-7 (W-D-L) from their 2019 matches.

Also surprised to see Bradford City stuck down at the foot.

Which one haven't you seen beat us - even if was only in a cup game?

I started watching with us at least a division below around 5 of those sides, so it felt normal to me. Right now though I’d feel too big to be down there. I’m sure it felt like that for some of the older posters.

accy will go down. they arent good enough for that league, and bottle every game by conceding too many

bradford will turn it around, albeit they got stuffed today

There's only Stanley I haven't seen us win against. In fact I've never seen Stanley lose, 3 wins against Radcliffe Borough, Farnborough Town and Burnley. :!:

Looks like over 50 points will be required.

Bradford are falling apart on and off the pitch. I know a lot of Bantams fans and they are despondant after being promised the earth pre season.

I’ve seen Stanley play a fair bit this season and from what I’ve seen they are plenty good enough for that league. I watched them play Bradford and they beat them comfortably. On their day they play some good passing, attacking football. However, you are right to point out that they have a knack of conceding goals. They have thrown points aaay with some daft mistakes. They also lack the physical presence of other teams.

Do any on here watch Stanley if so how come they’ve plummeted down the league when they started like a house on fire.

Back four not good enough apart from Johnson. Rest of team have some decent players.. Barlasar, Clark, Smyth. Definitely entertaining

Stanley are on the brink. Thought they had a decent chance of promotion
earlier in the season, but they've dropped away badly.

The trouble with Accy is they didn't have the money to put their players on proper contracts, so they lose any decent player they have.

It is changing but you do fear for them at league one level with their attendances.
