Good news. Really looking forward to this game. Coming up with my Dad and staying overnight. Will be nice to go into town for a few pints after the game. Onto York Railway Museum on Sunday. Can’t wait!! UTC.

Never really rated JBG he’s pure championship, but we are undoubtedly a better side with him . He gets us out the blocks well and when on song can create a few chances . With him and McNeil starting on the flanks I feel gives us a genuine chance of getting a 1st half goal in games as i feel sometimes it takes teams a bit by surprise that we can be fast and skillfull ( however fleeting )

A must for our starting XI. Johann brings speed, quality and sharpness to our attack and he defends well too.

Pity though that hes on the right and rarely, if ever, goes around the full back for a pull back. Instead he has to stop, check and cross an inswinger with his left foot. Seeing as how we sold our best header of a ball thats not a very effective tactic.Im_not_Robbie_Blake wrote:A must for our starting XI. His right foot is just for standing on. Unfortunately our three fit wingers are all left sided so someone has to cut inside to deliver a cross. Right now that has to be either JBG or Brady as Dwight and Charlie work so well together down the left.Stayingup wrote:Pity though that hes on the right and rarely, if ever, goes around the full back for a pull back. Hendrick for Cork on Saturday IMHO.

Good news about JBG, he makes us less predictable, can take defenders on and has pace, like to see Hendrick, Brady as they both had decent games for ROI line up next to JBG and Westwood.

I hide it well, but I'm not Jeff's biggest fan, however how he hasn't managed to get in that midfield 2 ahead of Cork is anyone's guess. Cork has been bang average ( at best ) too much this season.
Feel Jeff's mobility, strength and drive would be useful v a very slick and creative wolves midfield.
Cork and Weary are too similar and too lightweight going both ways.

So you want to drop McNeil who has been pretty much our best player in almost every game he has played for us in favour of Brady who has put 99/100 crosses straight to the first defender since he came back?moaninclaret wrote:Good news about JBG, he makes us less predictable, can take defenders on and has pace, like to see Hendrick, Brady as they both had decent games for ROI line up next to JBG and Westwood.
Hell we really are clutching at straws now.

I think hendrick would feel a little miffed at this tbh. No doubting johann is a good player, but we have played some good football recently with Jeff on the right.
As demonstrated in the palace game tho, SD has his faves and couldn’t wait to get JBG back onto the pitch. So much so he made the sub at half time! Utterly bizarre considering he’s hardly ever made a substitution to change a game Before we go two down and (I think) never at half time in a competitive game. When you think of all the bad games Jeff has had and got 90 minutes in, it’s even more confusing.

Rubbish he has only made four crosses and three corners since he's come back and not hit anything in claret except in the CFS.Goobs wrote:So you want to drop McNeil who has been pretty much our best player in almost every game he has played for us in favour of Brady who has put 99/100 crosses straight to the first defender since he came back?
