Of course. I dont suggest youth is everything. You need a blend.

Youth AND experience is vital. No doubt. And thats why i suggested we need 4 younger players to compliment a spine of Heaton, Barnes, Cork, Tarks, Mee, JBG etc

gtclaret wrote:This very worrying, I just don't know where you are all coming from. The profit was made after the sale of Keane and Gray, so effectively there was no profit at all. So unless we make a big sale in the summer, assuming we survive, we cannot make any acquisition, The youth policy and recruitment team are still playing catch up, and is unlikely to produce much for next season. The board must remember, it is the on field success that has brought in these millions, its not anything they did
Haha
You mean other than appointing Dyche the board have done nothing ?
Only on here could someone be very worried about more than £30m profit !

I think he did read the post. Had Gray not gone we wouldn't have signed Wood so to suggest there would have been no profit at all is completely wrong. And in any case, if you read the chairman's report, he speaks about the importance of player trading, selling on players at a profit as we did with Keane and Gray.

I did read your post. What bit do you think i am misinterpreting ?

You said that other than the sale of players we would not have made a profit....well we did sell those players and we did make a profit and then we finished 7th after selling those players.
I know that you are trying to say that one off player sales are hiding underlying issues but you can take one off exceptional items and say that in the last few years but this would be a completely wrong way of looking at it. The correct way to look at it is that decisions are made as part of an overall strategy and they are done in a particular sequence. We are not allowing the wage bill to increase to £80m before making other decisions like selling players at huge profits for example.

You also said that its the on the pitch activity that has generated the millions....again I read that and think its rubbish. It`s clearly a combination of on field and off field activities and the most obvious example is that it was the board who appointed the current manager who then bought the players etc.

I think Hart was a nod and a wink to the next Trippier and a poor season to attract only low wage earning wannabes the season after.

Amazing how the whiny ones get upset the most. Does highlighting someone being a moaning tart make you a troll ?

A few extra twix sales there.
One or two, anyway. Three, perhaps.

"To be fair, its a new record of 35 sensible posts before one that makes you question whether humanity really should be allowed exist."

Just ask Jacob Rees-Mogg about the right of humanity to exist. he's good on that subject.
