Sponsors gave Ben MoM.
Tarks shaded it for me.

Funnny old game. Some people pretty much wanted to lynch Tarks a couple of weeks ago.

We were brilliant at the back. Cant remember them having a sniff at goal other than the header.
A proper Burnley performance that

Tarks was sublime the tackle he made in the 1st half, over to his right side nr the Bob Lord was absolute poetry in motion, the Wolves lad was still running after Tarky had took the ball it was that clean

From TV, just the performance required at crucial stages of season. He refused to be beaten.

As defensive displays go, I thought we were outstanding today. The whole back four had an excellent game.

Tarks was all over the shop first 20 trying too hard to win the ball, ran under headers, missed chances to disposses. He then settled and was excellent, typified in the second half when there was a few minutes when he blocked, won tackles etc to stop 3 crucial opportunities for wolves.
I thought Ben was consistently very good and rightly mom throughout.
Bardsley steady away defended back
Post well as almost all the attacks came down the opposite side.
Taylor lack of pace (compared to Traore) was exposed time and again but not much he could do about that, and in fact him and McNeil were exposed due to our formation compared to there’s (much like we were away at wolves, and home and away v Newcastle).
However the difference today was we defended the box better and scored.

He did okay but thats all. If he wants to get playing again in the England eleven he needs to concentrate more and be aware of what's around him, on at least two ocassions he passed it back to Mee instead of being aware that Bardsley was free on the opposite side. He still had a good game but so did Mee.

Like all the defence Tarks was excellent. A very good footballer and must be one of the best 3 million Burnley wver spent.

Said the same after the match, all the defence were excellent today, blocks, tackles, covering each other, hard to pick between Tarks and Mee for MOM but Bardsley and Taylor were just as good.

Tarks was my mom today he was excellent. I was surprised when Ben Mee got the sponcers mom, he made numerous mistakes in the 1st half by giving the ball away

I know our recruitment gets criticised but approx £5m got us Ben Mee, Michael Keane and James Tarkowski.

Outstanding business.

and there's the proof that when people ask for us to sign players we don't need to go out and spend 100 million to get quality

Fantastic team effort from the lads yesterday. I thought Mee was MOM as he started being effective from minute 1, Tarks was a wee bit shaky first 15 then was a huge, F-off brick wall :D Westwood too, was immense.

Loved the challenge Tarks did just in front of the away bench in the second half. Poor little Nuno was livid as it meant one of his players had to try and cheat once again - I thought he was going to run on to the pitch. Bless him ......... he really is a bit of a tool isn't he?

Who has said that?

Super all round defensive performance but also a big shout for Westwood who ar times appeared to be playing 3 of them in centre midfield on his own.

All is well that ends well but our inability to have a cm sub for the tired Cork could yet sink us.

I was at yesterdays match and again we were lucky.
First goal quick thinking move 2nd goal keeper mistake (he thought it was going out)
We played hoofball far too often. Mee and Tarks had a couple of dodgy moments. Adama owned Taylor ( our best player on the day IMHO) but couldn't get the final ball in.
We played it on the floor scored goals.
Barnes, wood and macneil looked dead on their feet after 70 min and should have been substituted.
Hendrick and cork where ineffective.
Before the 2nd goal this was a massive amount of negative feeling in the stands, most fans were convinced we were going to throw it away.
Bottom line we won great but it will just encourage dyche to apply the same play style and philosophy and that i think will see us relegated

2nd goal was unsaveable. Great piece of football from McNeil.

Everybody around me was saying that MacNeil should have been subbed. Which rather suggests that (as I previously suspected) Sean Dyche knows better than they do. Mind you ....I wanted JBG on the pitch but I don't claim to know better than Dyche.

It's an opinion you need to work on being more open to other perspectives.

He seemed to have his battles all over the pitch yesterday. Summarised by him telling the Wolves manager where to go.
