I spent sixteen years...
I spent sixteen years...
I spent sixteen years avoiding a pub in Canterbury and when I finally lowered my standards to go in, they said you're not coming in here again, you're banned.
I haven't done anything.
I haven't done anything.

No it wasn't the three tuns, I don't go in there. I haven't sunk that low.
I'm glad now. If I''d drunk any more, I might not have got through the night or home even. £25!!!!!! Just on drinks. Way too much money and drink. Before I was ill, I'd have 3 pints maybe four and feel bad even for that.
I think it was honey trappers dissing me.
I'm banned from the Bell & Crown for disturbing customers. That takes some doing. Laughing at the bar for no reason, they said.

I try to avoid Canterbury as it is full of tourists (although some of them are my tourists as we work with foreign students) - are you local to Canterbury ?

The only tourists on the town at night are trouble from the pit villages and Ashford, especially early on. I live there, yeah. It's better during the day, for ambience, at least if I walk about I can imagine I'm on holiday a bit, with all tourists.
Re: I spent sixteen years...
I drink in Canterbury quite a bit, not had any bother. Pubs are not as good as they used to be though. Also I don't remember ever seeing a copper. I think they are frightened by the dark. I might try that lark of laughing out loud for no reason in my local, would not mind being banned. My bar tab is enormous.

Anyway, I'm thinking of applying for asylum in Kazakhstan... Canterbury is either chav feral maniac women or Buddhist lesbians. Not much recipe for romance, only social disaster.

And there's me thinking you'd make some lady the perfect partner.
Re: I spent sixteen years...
Maybe you should think of something else... I dread to think of how that works in your mind, in fact I won't.
