Warnock has more than a point, but who cares, nobody did when we were robbed by officials against Man Utd or at Watford. VAR ‘might’ sort this for next season but will be too late for Cardiff (hopefully not us).

Not a fan of Colin but he certsinly has a point regarding officials in the Premier League. Not all but many of them are inept and do seem to favour the big clubs
Last week I thought Oliver, who has done us twice recently, didn't award us a penalty because he had sent one of their players off. Only excuse could be he was unsighted. But what does or does not constitute a Penalty. Wrestle a player to the ground, put your arms round him and nothing is given.

Yet another example of the institutionalised bias that is prevalent in this league. Don’t expect VAR to help the smaller clubs as it will be manned by the same people who can’t see past the top 6.

There’s a good piece on the beeb from Bobby Madley where he basically admits this. He refers to the Man U penalty v PSG and how some refs would say pen whilst others don’t. There’s still going to be so much room for interpretation that VAR may not be the saving grace for teams like us.

It's a horrible sport these days, PL football.Cardiff are better off out of it.

Despite our Wolves win and Cardiff’s loss, which enhanced our chances of survival, I do feel sorry for Cardiff’s loss. Some of today’s decision were truly atrocious, It does make one wonder if the referees really do have a bias towards the ‘big six’, and instructed to do so!

I thought the decisions against Cardiff were almost unbelievably bad. While I have no great sympathy for them, I know how Burnley fans would feel if those decisions had been against us.
Poor refereeing and linesmanship are in no-one’s interests.

I think VAR is already being used beyond it s remit and, if the authorities aren't careful, may cause as many problems as it solves. I always thought the purpose of VAR was to rectify 'obvious errors', Chelsea's first goal yesterday being a prime example. Decisions that are open to interpretation shouldn't be being referred to VAR. That means penalty decisions are only referred when there has been an obvious foul the ref has missed or he's given a pen when there was no contact or the ball didn't strike a defenders arm. Referring the Man United one against PSG was a farce. No one on the pitch was even asking for VAR.

I don't feel sorry for Cardiff because we've had our fair share of poor decisions but I do feel sorry for football in general. It was a truly attrocious decision and VAR is the only way forward with the stakes so high these days. American Footbal, Rugby Union and League have shown us the way forward. Yes it will impact on the flow of the game and spoil the spectacle for supporters but it's the price we have to pay if we want correct decisions and hopefully cut out the appartent bias towards the bigger clubs.

Under the Prem rules, which come into effect next season, it would be onside.

Rule number 3.ii Should an elite club have a goal scrutinised by VAR, the 3rd party scrutiniser, should press 'Onside' on their control terminal. This will result in all future views, of the goal image, showing a defender Emogi (lifelike) playing the scorer inside.

3.ii It is essential to press this button when the opponents are fodder clubs, not necessarily enhancing the Prem League, in the long term.
