10 yellow card amnesty

Post by ClaretTony » Sun Mar 31, 2019 6:50 pm

Following yesterday's game, none of our players can receive a two match ban for receiving 10 yellow cards. The amnesty comes after 32 league games. Only Phil Bardsley could now get a 15 yellow card ban but he would need to get one in every remaining game.

Our list this season is:

9: Phil Bardsley
8: Ben Mee
5: Ashley Barnes, Jack Cork, Matt Lowton, James Tarkowski
4: Ashley Westwood
3: Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick
2: Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson, Dwight McNeil, Charlie Taylor, Chris Wood
1: Peter Crouch, Ben Gibson, Tom Heaton, Aaron Lennon, Kevin Long, Matěj Vydra, Stephen Ward

Don't encourage him for goodness sake.

Correct me if I am wrong Tony, but isn't Brady's red card our only suspension this season for discipline?

I believe in him.

You can do it, Phil!

Would that carry over to next season as he would need 6 yellows to get to 15 and that would be against Arsenal and so would he be ineligible for his next 3 games for a league club?

I dread to think what Bardsley's yellow count would look like had he played a full season for us

Provided he doesn't reach 15 then they get wiped.

I think Lowton served a one match ban for five yellows.

Only 2 for Taylor is remarkable for a full back.
