BUT it all balances out. In a sense. Its not like we haven't had equal misfortune late in games. Wood at Watford, Uniteds 'Penalty' etcRalphCoatesComb wrote:Anagram competition

even if it cost them 3 points today, refs cost us 4 in those two alone!

I'd add Barnes v Sarfhampton and Taylor v Leicester to your list by the way.

Get over the Utd pen. will you. Hendrick hooked his shoulder plain and simple. He went down a bit weird but it was still a pen.cricketfieldclarets wrote:BUT it all balances out. In a sense. Its not like we haven't had equal misfortune late in games. Wood at Watford, Uniteds 'Penalty' etc

Re: MOTD2
Three penalties, actually. Loftus-Cheek was clearly held later on. It was just as egregious (or as slight) an error as the two when the Cardiff players lost the use of their legs. There was also a clear hold on a Chelsea player in the first half at a corner. I suspect if you look closely at all the corners, the ref probably missed seven or eight clear penalties. (I wonder if VAR will follow the modern trend of saying that holding is a foul when the player dives, but isn't a foul when he doesn't?)Rileybobs wrote:Think a yellow card was the right decision for the Rudiger incident. The offside was appalling, the two penalties should have been given but are often not.
The offside was actually a difficult decision. What the commentators don't realise is that the linesman doesn't have access to the still photo. (At least, I assume they don't realise that, because they never say what an unfair comparison it is.)
What the lineman had to do was look along the line and see, 40 yards away, that there were two events. One, a Chelsea man headed the ball. Two, a Chelsea man came back from an offside position into an onside position. These two events were approx. one tenth of a second apart, and he had to decide which one came first.
Yes, he got it wrong, but only by a tenth of a second. Not by a country mile.

Re: MOTD2
Its about time that these officiating teams that are consistently $hite on a game by game basis are suspended, three strikes and you are out of the elite group. As I've posted before there are a number of refs (and their officiating team) that you can guarantee will drop a bo!!ock.
These are...
Kevin Friend
Craig Pawson
Anthony Taylor
John Moss
Lee Mason
And to a lesser extent
Graham Scott
Micheal Oliver
If I can see it it makes you wonder what the hell POGMOL actually watch

All that as well as the corner taker Willian blocking the view of the linesman. You can't give what you can't see.dsr wrote:Three penalties, actually. Loftus-Cheek was clearly held later on. Re: MOTD2
I’d agree with all that the problem being there are very few of the standard required coming through to replace them. We need to import some top guys, although VAR has to help.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote:Its about time that these officiating teams that are consistently $hite on a game by game basis are suspended, three strikes and you are out of the elite group. I'll be interested to see how all the grappling in the areas is handled once we have VAR.

Apparently the refs’ physio covering local game and evidently a Liverpool fan. Nothing to see.

Theres nothing to get over. It didn't wind me up at the time. I was more annoyed with our own inability to defend a 2 goal lead.Tricky Trevor wrote:Get over the Utd pen. will you. Hendrick hooked his shoulder plain and simple. He went down a bit weird but it was still a pen.
Just alluding to the point that like Cardiff, there have been times where we have suffered from bad decisions. And like all teams.
Its part of the game.

It is but it shouldn’t be. Colin is right, far more often than not the dodgy calls go the way of the bigger club.cricketfieldclarets wrote:

Re: MOTD2
Warnock fails to mention that Cardiff scored the winning goal in the last minute against Brighton earlier this season when Sol Bamba was just about offside. Well, at least a couple of metres.Tricky Trevor wrote:It is but it shouldn’t be. Colin is right, far more often than not the dodgy calls go the way of the bigger club.
His comments afterwards "You win some, you lose some".
So no, Cardiff haven't been hard done by.
