Thats what was needed for this game ithe time of this has no thought for the travelling fans would have been better plaued on the Sunday
But thats the beauty of it
Good intervention from the club to realise the potential importance of the fixture and the fans
Well done to the club from me and shows its in touch with its fans UTC

Really pleased with this offer, has made me seriously consider going, whereas before I had no intention to!

Love that on social media it is being slagged though, with comments such as "Chelsea on a Monday night, why not do it for a game we can easily get to"

.... That's the point of the discount! Some people!

Well done BFC, good gesture!

I don't think that some people even realise that it's Bank Holiday Monday.

Why discount this one? 8pm bank holiday Monday on tv. Why not discount Everton and therefore more fans get the good offer. Makes little sense.

I know I'll get stick for it on here but this will mainly help out our Southern/London based fans, in what is essentially a home game for them anyway. Won't be many travelling down from the North for a televised, Bank holiday Monday 8pm kick off.

Least it's something, it'll benefit those who go EVERY game, as well as some claret who live further a field. Also won't be a big take up, so won't cost the club an arm and a leg.

Fair play.

Exactly that, I will probably go now instead of watching on TV, might even take a few neutrals from work if there’s plenty of tickets

But in theory they deserve it just as much, having to pay to travel to Turf Moor every other week, which a lot do.

I remember at my old company they stopped giving employees gifts and vouchers at Xmas because it caused more hassle than it was worth

That's the plan, jrgbfc. It will help us "clarets in exile." But, wow, not a "home game" - every game down here is an away game. I think I paid £55 for Chelsea a few seasons back - when Ben Mee got the equaliser - and I think Mourinho was taking note of some of the other minutes (I can't remember why... ). ;)

A Premier League game for £5. Now that offsets a little of the cost of the season ticket I used to have - even though I couldn't get on most w/ends and missed out on all the home games in our Championship Champions season.

Now, I've just got to make sure I get a ticket - and one for my (born down here) son.

don't worry. The club could pay for fans to go on and some would find a way to complain!

Enjoy the discounted match!
