To be clear i'm not saying courts martial should happen or even RoPs. Just better professionalism training because it shouldn't happen. My biggest concern is the lack of judgement exercised by people whose job it is to kill people with justification. If they don't have the sense of judgement to know not to shoot at pictures of their own country's politicians then how can i trust that they have the required sense of judgement when it comes to combat situations?elwaclaret wrote:But could you not be more comfortable talking about Burnley than say Man U? You bias will out whether you want it too or not... it’s why we are taught not to conclusion jump and ask awkward questions. It is why debates on here were people entrench themselves are so frustrating.
You have a point, I want to understand it. So I to dig your reasoning out. I try not to be condescending or say I’m right you are wrong, I have no reason to doubt your beliefs.
In fact despite rarely agreeing with you politics I enjoy debating with you as you rarely resort to childish responses and like I say the day I think I’m beyond rational debate or changing my position is the day I become a hermit.
I’ve been around the forces enough to know a lot are not the brightest buttons, there will have been little of any thought to the Corbyn picture, of that I’m fairly certain... they are not known for deep thought.

Judgement is not high on the curriculum in the army. They are taught to run point and shoot however they are told to, trained not to think about why they are doing it. It is how all armies operate.Imploding Turtle wrote:To be clear i'm not saying courts martial should happen or even RoPs. Just better professionalism training because it shouldn't happen. What do we think of this?
BBC News: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48488732" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"Glastonbury 2019: Bands who called for Tories to be killed booked to perform"
Right or wrong? Equivalent to this thread topic? or more worrying?
Are the Jo Cox Foundation right to express concern?

Killdren's booking now withdrawn,however Fat White Family still due to play.
Before today i'd never heard of either of these bands,don't know if that makes me out of touch,or they're just c**p to quote Gerald ratner.
There is absolutely a place for political campaigning in the entertainment industry,but they have both crossed the line in advocating violence and murder.
