Hopefully it will be a non event, I would have thought Sky could have chosen a better game.

Great, that's train tickets booked and wasted!

Was looking forward to a final away day at 3pm on a Saturday!

I'm stunned to be honest - didn't think for one minute they would have selected this game.

They will be hoping for a game we need to win to stay up.

Ha. Well, let's hope we're not in the position and hope it's a non event.

Let's hope for a win that pushes us up a couple of places in the table for more prize money - and we get extra money too because its' game number 11 on TV this season.

The only other games available are West Ham v Southampton, Wolves v Fulham, Chelsea v Watford and Arsenal v Brighton.
With two of those being dead rubbers, and Southampton more likely than not* to be safe, it only really leaves our game or Arsenal/Brighton, and ours is likely to be the more competitive of the two.

*not necessarily my opinion, but balance of probability is in Southamptons favour.

I thought the increased sky money raised the games needed to get extra money?
From 11 to 12?

It's 10 and then you get an extra of around £1.1 million per game beyond that. I think the qualifying number could be going up next season with the new deal given there are more games being shown.

If by any chance (miracle) it becomes a "dead rubber", which IS possible, could it be deselected somewhere down the line?

Quite pleased at this, being completely selfish - a few drinks and the football in Liverpool on a Friday evening in May seems pretty reasonable to me.

From a selfish view I’m pleased

I’m at a wedding on the 4th so wouldn’t have been able to either go or watch a steam and now I have a choice :D

Yes my thoughts as well except we would have made a weekend of it visiting family in Liverpool, still never mind I’m pretty confident that we will be well safe by then and looking for getting our own back for the score line at TM in the first game.

Train now not an option, unless I’ve missed a route.
