Re: Danny Rose
Maybe some prem managers don’t want to be seen as trouble making managers, especially those from a few miles away. Danny Rose probably wasn’t expecting such a high proportion of fans to take his comments about the price of a night out in London (expensive) so literally.

When the subject is racism, yes, we should talk about the racism instead of finding ways to hate on the victims of racism.
It's always the same types or people who try to distract and derail the conversation about racism that black footballers experience. We have a word for them too; racists.

How many close friends of a race different to yours do you have ?Imploding Turtle wrote:When the subject is racism, yes, we should talk about the racism instead of finding ways to hate on the victims of racism.

Re: Danny Rose
Agree, there’s a few isolated incidents & 1 is too many, people seem to exaggerate the problem as if hundreds or thousands are at, you’ll always get odd idiots, people in the main would react against any racist fan & that alone would be enough to shut the person up,I’ve never witnessed any incidents.Foulthrow wrote:Just heard a BBC report that described racism as “the biggest challenge facing the modern game”, is it? Really?
I’ve been to games fairly regularly over the last 20 years and I really don’t recall hearing or seeing too many racist incidents. Obviously, one is too many but it’s not the biggest challenge, surely?

Not that i accept your dumb premise, of course.

As for Rose, he’s always whinging. Wasn’t he threatening to jack football in not so long ago because he was depressed?
I see he’s still playing, mind.

Re: Danny Rose
Does he need many, or any, to explain why people who're dismissing any form of racism are an issue?FCBurnley wrote:How many close friends of a race different to yours do you have ?
If it helps I've got various family members who aren't white/Caucasian, both Muslim and Christians, gay, straight etc.
My friends list is similar, skin colour, religion or sexuality isn't an issue for me when it comes to choosing my friends.
Same with people I've worked with, both past and present.

Re: Danny Rose
So do you think the racism he's suffered/seen/heard could be a cause for his depression?BurnleyFC wrote:To be fair, you’re a race of your own.

Especially if it's been going on for years with no signs of Fifa dishing out appropriate punishments anytime soon..

You're part of the problem, as pointed out by Turtle.
I'm happy to be a gobshite if it means I'm not like a number of people on here.

Re: Danny Rose
Footballers in England/Wales are going on 24 hour social media strike starting tomorrow morning.
It's in protest at how racism is being dealt with by the governing body etc.

Social media strike?
You mean I won’t be able to check whether Raheem Sterling has wiped his own arse tomorrow?
Wow. They REALLY mean it don’t they?

Re: Danny Rose
What if some footballers are oddballs with two twitter accounts? Will they stop posting on both accounts?
Re: Danny Rose
I bet they've got itchy fingers already.
