How much do we have to spend to bring more clubs into our future survival aims ?
How much do we have to spend to bring more clubs into our future survival aims ?
We have a great chance of survival this season but whats a realistic budget spend to bring more clubs into our sights to finish above next season ? Except for the 3 promoted clubs again and Brighton I feel we have to spend a certain amount to bring clubs like Southampton, Palace, Bournemouth and Newcastle (but those clubs will surely spend themselves) into our fold. Fulham apparently threw 100 million at it and failed miserably so a realistic spend for us ? 20 million ?

How ever much it takes to get the next Cafu, Deary, Zidane and Bergkamp.
If there's owt left in the kitty, then throw a Zola in as well.

As many Twix as we can muster.

We all know what we need to do if we stay up. If we don't bring in 2 cm starters next season will be our last in thd PL for the time being. Sean needs to lay the law down.

Blimey 2 centimetres? Is that so we can go unnoticed?

First team Cm and rb, keep everyone else the same unless we can easily upgrade. Play like we have been doing, with a bit more flexibility, allowing JBG/McNeil/Vydra to play behind the striker in some games and we will come top half.
Cm is the marquee signing required, someone physically good and technically pretty good to play alongside one of our current CM’s. This must be done to be honest.

We would be fine. All 3 clubs coming up will be in bother, there isn’t a Wolves amongst them.
Other bottom half teams will be down there again.
Any first team improvements would see us safely mid table.

it's not how much you spend, but what you spend it on.
We need to find some hidden gems.

it's never been about how much money we spend, it's been our scouting that has let us down. Hopefully that has improved and we can bring in some gems from places other than the Championship

We just need to replace the replaceable ones with slight upgrades. One position is already sorted with Ben Gibson. Maybe a fullback, a central midfielder and a striker to put pressure on our current front two. Hoping that we might have another already at the club who might emerge like McNeill has done this season. We might have enough wide men to get by. Any upgrades on top will be most welcome but probably unrealistic.

We need to find the next Austin, Mee, Tarks, Gray, Keane etc who didn't cost very much. We need to avoid signing the next Defour, Wells, Walters, Vossen, Hennings, Lennon, Ulvestadt, Crouch etc. who have cost us a lot and contributed very little.

Its nothing to do with the amount. Its the quality you spend on and in the areas needed.
Fulham spent a fortune and are down with over 2 months to go.
We need quality in CM.
We need at least one more striker.
and probably a full back and winger.
We also need to lower the age of the squad. Because not only do we need more pace and energy now - we will also need it even more next year and beyond.
We dont want to be in the same boat next summer needing 5+ players.

Just got to be smarter with our buying, which overall we have been.
Dyche has been proven right to have faith with the lads we've got, but he does need to start playing his more recent signings more often too.
If we are safe soon it wouldn't be a bad thing to play Vydra for example in the remaining games.

Any players coming in will want to see far more game time than Vydra and Gibson!

What are our "future survival aims", 6 years, 12 years, forever?
Because I can tell you forever ain't gonna happen, enjoy the now.

Its not what you spend, its how you spend it. We just need a couple of players that are going to lift the level of the starting eleven and buy into our ethics. We don't need players just to fill squad numbers.
