Robbie Brady

Post by burnley007 » Sat Apr 06, 2019 8:53 am

Is he still recovering from his injury? Is there something else wrong?
Before his injury he was becoming unplayable, a complete match winner. Now he looks lethargic and not interested.
Will we ever see him destroying teams again?

He took a long time to settle. Barely played in his first half season but grew into the next one. Its a shame he was injured just as he was playing with verve.

It was a serious injury but I think he's over it now so I guess confidence building is the next step.

He might never be the player we saw briefly last season I'm afraid. But don't lose hope.

He's probably had about six very good games for us.

Hes played twice for ROI recently hes fit. But McNeil is bang in form so its bench only at min. Brady on top of his game is a class act.

Bad injuries need time. He did look much better the last RofI match. Next season he’ll be back to his best but will still be behind Dwight for our left side.

When he’s back fit and in form, He’s class. I hope we see more of him, next Season.

He recently spoke about the injuries and not being able to trust his body to go full tilt without breaking down.

He says he past that stage now so should keep improving and gaining confidence.

Let’s just be supporters and support him through what must be a difficult time in rebuilding his playing confidence. Not a difficult concept surely.

Hopefully when/if he does get back to the levels we expect, he’ll either step aside from taking the free kicks/corners (when he’s on the pitch) or learn how to get it beyond the wall

I do think that he is capable of doing this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vyjl2tFzpuo

I agree he’s capable - but that was in his first game for us and to me he’s seems to be trying too hard to replicate it each time.

I remember when this board thought McCann was world class when injured.
Very strange in that the longer the injury the greater the player.

He's probably going to see out his contract covering the left flank either lb, wb or winger from the bench

i still doubt that we can afford two up front, so if Brady can get fit enough and recover his form I'd like to see McNeil pushed inside (almost a No10) with Brady on the left.

Not sure why some think he's class when fit, apart from the odd free kick ive seen nothing to convince me.

Wasted more corners and free kicks than any other player. Should be removed from that duty.

Appears to have a mental issue, in that he does not want the ball, passed to him, when a defender is coming his way. Flick it away, so as not to get a hit.

Long way from effective first team contribution. Pre-season will do him good.

Fingers crossed.

Robbie just needs a goal and when he gets one it will not be a tap in .
He is a super player as someone who can change a game with a pass , have faith lads the injury really hit him hard .

We should judge him next season.

He has had an horrific injury that will leave mental scars.

Far too early to write him off. Fingers crossed he will sort himself out with help from the back room team

When he has played this season he has been a liability by giving away possession. Needs game time but he is a liability when he keeps giving the ball away

I can see that, BB. I feel he is a very similar player to Marcus Rashford. Brady out wide, Dwight as a #10 presents a different combination to two "bulls" upfront, and certainly more mobility, and speed

Both Vokes and Barnes came back better players after their serious injuries.
