Absolutely immense today
He has got to be player of the season with the performances he has put in .
Really stepped up

Re: Westwood
Wonder where we'd be at if a fit Defour was in the middle with Westwood..... Christ that'd be good.

Re: Westwood
Could still happen ( though can’t see it) probs be good enough to allow both McNeil and an attacking right sided player to work the flanks . I’d love to see Lennon bombing down the wingWestMidsClaret wrote:Wonder where we'd be at if a fit Defour was in the middle with Westwood..... Christ that'd be good.

Re: Westwood
If Defour was fit then I think we would see either Cork play or Westy being restricted to a more defensive role and so he wouldn't be as effective as he has been.
Same with why Hendrick works on the right as he can slot in to make an almost central three thus allowing Dwight (and CT) more room and freedom to do what he / they like down the left.

You'll need a Tardis for that.

Reminds me of Billy Ingram. I don’t mean by his hairstyle by the way

Re: Westwood
You’re probably correct , though he’s still got superb pace , while I know SD is hardly a gung ho type I was genuinely shocked to see Lennon reduced to tracking back albeit quickly and being “ tucked” in as opposed to wide, still there’s worse bench options than him and Brady next seasondougcollins wrote:You'll need a Tardis for that.

Nice comments on here and very true but forgive me if I'm wrong, wasn't he getting some pretty bad stick recently from some on here?

A quiet game against Cardiff and it'll be full of 'we need better'. All part of being a fan, opinions have a use-by date of whenever the next match is.houseboy wrote:Nice comments on here and very true but forgive me if I'm wrong, wasn't he getting some pretty bad stick recently from some on here?

Re: Westwood
True - I still am not convinced by Barnes and have said so often but double figures in goals in the PL with games still to play suggest I'm probably wrong.NottsClaret wrote:A quiet game against Cardiff and it'll be full of 'we need better'. Re: Westwood
not probably wrong regarding Barnes, lose the "probably" and you're spot on
Have always been a Westwood fan and was excited when we signed him, my opinion was always he was not getting enough time in the team, never been a Defour fan, yes can be great for a limited time in a match but never what BFC needed imo Good to see Westwood getting the praise he deserves but as pointed out it only lasts until the next match, no one needs to go missing in the next five games let alone half the team as we have seen a few times this season.
