How **** was Asmir Begovic yesterday?

Post by RalphCoatesComb » Sun Apr 07, 2019 5:21 pm

Perhaps his performance is payback for Eddie re this article from earlier in the year

Eddie must be looking for a quality keeper now and we have two who may want a move ;)

Do we/would we get a fee for Hart?
Not sure how his transfer to us worked.

Surely Eddie's number one target will be a keeper. And if I was him I'd bid for Pope.

Remember his debut for Portsmouth many years ago in the premier. It was as good a keeping performance as I have seen. Thought he would have ended up at one of the Big European clubs.

Bloody glad he had a stinker yesterday mind you.

Bournemouth have a nasty habit of signing players based on who they played for, not on actual merit.

File under Ibe, Smith and Solanke.

Eddie tends to not worry much about defence, saying that he will probably sign Hart. ;)

Defending for our equaliser was awful.
Tarks and Wood both left free at back post and either could have scored
Begovic was awful at the corner and all round had a poor game.
The centre back they got from Brentford was poor - got totally bullied by Wood and Barnes and gifted us our second goal.

Begovic cost £10m from Chelsea and was reported to be on £50k a week when they signed him.
Ake cost £20m...he’s been decent but they have never had a decent defence under Howe so hard to tell how good he is.
Howe has spent a hell of a lot of a money and is often lauded as the next big thing and going on to manage a big club or England but I don’t really see them improving much and signing the likes of Solanke, Defoe and a few others he doesn’t have a great record in the transfer market.
Howe bought some great players for us and has done remarkable to get Bournemouth up but he’s not proven himself to be any better than our manager.
