Surely they can put the available seats up online and if you want to swap you can? What about fans who live a long distance from the turf?

So, from what I can gather, I 'll be unable to see what's available online, therefore I'm expected to take a day off work, drive 2 hours to see if there are any better seats available, if there aren't it will be waste of a day.

FFS

Just try ringing the ticket on those dates in May.

I know you're trying to be helpful but it clearly says come into the ticket office with your ST cards. They will need proof who is swapping and any change in price will have to be sorted there and then.

Just suggesting it's worth a try even if it's just enquiring about the availability of seats before travelling long distances perhaps unnecessarily

They might be better off just nipping in the ticket office pre match if early enough on Saturday and asking the question.

It would be helpful if the club could put images up of the seats available at the start. Even if you still have to go down the ticket office.

Its beyond me that they cant book the staff on some overtime and have a shift after the last game v Arsenal, get some pizzas in and pay overtime, and do it when ST holders are most likely to be there

You can’t “come into the ticket office” you have to stand on the street and try to speak to some sullen youth through a ridiculously low window whilst the traffic drowns out what he mumbles.

At least, that’s what happened last time I went.

14th to 18th May? Why only four days?

500 mile round trip, probably 8-9 hours in the car. All because they can’t set up a website in a competent manner. It’s been the same for 2 decades.
Just Pathetic

Same for me, I’m hoping common sense prevails in an e-mail

It would be helpful if someone from the club would respond around how they can accommodate requests from people that don’t live near the club and as such shouldn’t be expected to travel without any certainty that there is value in doing so. I would be happy to manage this by phone.

I sent an email into the club last week asking about seat swaps but got no response.

Have you tried Rick? Did they respond?

They did. I was advised to phone during the seat swap week, I'd chase their e-mail though and ask again as I dont think that calling would apply to everyone and I dont think they'd want everyone phoning to swap seats without being instructed to like I was. Hope that helps.

Thanks - I do live close - just didn't want to waste a day's holiday trying to secure a seat swap that might be impossible anyway.

Just an update for others interested. I did get an email back and, although it looks unlikely that I can get the swap that I want, the ticket office did address my questions. Thanks to the ticket office for this, they’ve saved me a wasted day off work.

Did they give you the impression most people have renewed? Or even gained extra ST holders?

Oops quoted your wrong post.

I was hoping to get an extra seat near me - I'm JHU block 6 - they said that everyone had renewed around me and in the row above and below. However, they did say that there are "plenty of options for two seats together in various blocks" in the JHU.
