Chelsea tickets
I was considering going to the Chelsea game on Easter Monday however living in Scotland means I don’t have many points.
So what’s my chances of being able to get 2 on Thursday morning when they go on general sale or will the be sold out?

I think you'll be fine. Not sure we'll sell 1500 for this one even with the reduced prices.ayrshireclaret83 wrote:I was considering going to the Chelsea game on Easter Monday however living in Scotland means I don’t have many points.

Re: Chelsea tickets
I'm having to wait until general sale as my son and grandson want to go. As they live in Northampton and my grandson plays football at 1030 every Saturday there is not much point in them having a season ticket so, despite having a ticket and quite a few points, I sometimes end up missing out on games because of them wanting to go.
Re: Chelsea tickets
Fingers crossed, hopefully you'll all get tickets. UTC

How did you do that? I'm trying to get a ticket but it wont let me buy one on general sale (and the initial release about availability says general sale will be 11th April).Got two today on general sale

Re: Chelsea tickets
I bought one online yesterday. I'm not a season ticket holder.
I am in the Clarets Foundation but that's never helped me buy online before.

Re: Chelsea tickets
Don’t is my suggestion. Much better to park up elsewhere and use the tube.DHClaret wrote:Any good ideas on how to arrive there by car?
Re: Chelsea tickets
Thanks Tony ... what would you suggest as a good Tube station? Driving down from Burnley

Re: Chelsea tickets
We usually use Hillingdon. Although it’s around 45 mins from there to either Earls Court or Fulham Broadway, Hillingdon is easy to get to if you go down the M40. Cheap to park too on weekends and bank holidays.DHClaret wrote:Thanks Tony ... what would you suggest as a good Tube station? Driving down from Burnley

Re: Chelsea tickets
we used a 'park on my drive' website which allowed us half a days parking other side of river from Stamford Bridge (about 2 mile walk) for £8.DHClaret wrote:Any good ideas on how to arrive there by car?
booked it all online - simple!
link:

it was secure and I would recommend this for anyone wanting parking close to venue.
Also we beat Chelsea 2 - 3 which made the return journey particularly enjoyable!
Good luck DH!
Re: Chelsea tickets
Thanks for the great suggestions. Overseas fan and will just be my second game of the season. WARNING: My previous game was boxing day against Everton.

Previous purchase history is what it is showing now, not sure if that has changed from when you tried
Re: Chelsea tickets
We always park at Watford Junction (huge carpark pre-bookable) and go into London by train (Tube goes out to Watford Junction) ....DHClaret wrote:Any good ideas on how to arrive there by car?

Still saying Chel v Burnley previously. I've got loads of away points but never been to Chelsea before.
Still won't let me purchase.

They have never done it where you need to have purchased a relevant game, try logging out and log back in. I just tried to put 5 in my basket and it says maximum of 4 tickets allowed

No idea why then, if you are on twitter try contacting darren bentley unless someone else on here can suggest anything but others have bought in last 24 hours.
If you are using a mobile device try a different browser.

If I can add a bit here - there is NO tube line or tube station at Watford Junction...there are only mainline railway services here, I use the station a lot.
Parking up here is a decent shout, but then you would get an overground train into Euston Station, and then go on the underground [south] from that station.
Watford tube station is a different station to Watford Junction...not sure exactly where it is in Watford..?
I hope that helps.
**as others have said, not a good idea to try and park near Stamford Bridge.
Drive south and park up in north or west London [lots of options] near an underground station [district, central and piccadilly lines all helpful] and jump on the tube.

Re: Chelsea tickets
I just got one via online general release. Process seemed OK as per usual. The ticket was £5 for over 65s; not helping Chelsea's income stream too much.
An easy trip for me but haven't been there for a few years as I've not generally been able to cop a ticket (presumably the Easter timing means less ST holders traveling down).

Re: Chelsea tickets
I wouldn't do this. The stretch of line from Euston to Watford is closed so you'd have to get the tube from Watford which is about 25 minutes walk from Watford Junction and not particularly fast.Bosscat wrote:We always park at Watford Junction (huge carpark pre-bookable) and go into London by train (Tube goes out to Watford Junction) ....

EDIT: It seems the Watford Junction to West Brompton route is impacted but is doable (there and back) if you don't mind multiple changes.
Also be aware that there's a lot of tube engineering works (I'll put them on a separate thread so people don't miss it).
Re: Chelsea tickets
Fortunately I have a convenient parking space at my daughters flat in Richmond so my son and I will be taking a short tube journey. I hope.
Re: Chelsea tickets
Leadbelly,Chelsea’s income stream will be unaffected as our Chairman is funding the difference himself.
Credit where credits due.
When you receive your ticket it will say £30 for an adullt on it.

Good on him, I hadn't realized that.Leadbelly,Chelsea’s income stream will be unaffected as our Chairman is funding the difference himself.
With my oldies railcard and this cheap ticket; it's a ridiculously cheap day out even with a couple of beers on top. I'd prefer a point or three to a bargain day out though.
