As Rick Muller said, they were originally designed for pocket watches.

It's weird that you'd use "house bound" as a pejorative. Should house bound people be ashamed of something? Kinda weird that you seem to think they should be.

Originally designed to hold a pocket watch; though I always referred to it as the ‘Johnny Pocket’. One would often be delighted to find a folded £5 or £10 not in there, intact, after it had been through the wash(pre-plastic notes).

Not at all. Just stating a fact that you don't actually have a real life, just an online one. I almost feel sorry for you. You'll never have a normal kind of life. Unless you call living in a room in your parents house at 30 plus normal!

How does a jeans pocket post revert to a sensitive agrophobic slanging match ?

Are you house bound IT . It would make a lot of people feel crap if you were for slating your total waste of spare time . Maybe you could push it even if your not the sympathy card would work well in your favour.

Back to the pocket. It was originally designed to carry one bullet should you ever be captured by native American Indians to blow your brains out before being mutilated for stealing their land and killing their people.

I still carry mine today . Yeehah

In the olden days people had much smaller hands. That small pocket was in fact normal size. As hands became bigger people demanded larger pockets. And so bigger pockets were added. Oddly they were added over the top of the smaller one. Possibly it was because the public were not willing to forego the small one for the sake of the larger ones.

Interesting. So house bound people don't have a life. That seems to be your argument now.

Just in case anyone reading this is new and doesn't know how much of a piece of **** this guy is, he's completely wrong and knows nothing about me. He's just trying to bully someone online by making **** up because that seems to be how clarinetclaret likes to pass his time. He doesn't post often, but when he does it's usually hatred he posts.
