Jasper Carrott
Off to watch him tonight in Huddersfield. I don't think I've seen or heard much of him since The Detectives which I thought was hilarious.
Anybody been to see him his stand up?

He's on at Burnley mechanics sometime this month with his pal Bev Bevan & band supporting.

I saw him at the Mechanics a few years back. I too loved him, when I was a kid. He didn’t disappoint.

Re: Jasper Carrott
Bit of Carrott trivia. He was a major shareholder in the company, which owned the rights to "Who Wants to be a Millionaire": he sold his shareholding for about £10 million.

Re: Jasper Carrott
I loved the story about him and a m8 at Old Trafford and they were in the home end.
Birmingham City scored and his m8 stood up cheering and celebrating. All the Neanderthals around them turned around looking..... So Jasper started punching his mate in the face telling him he was saving his life....

Re: Jasper Carrott
Brilliant. Saw him many moons back at King Georges.
My fave.
Round at a new girlfriends for the first time and left alone with her mother is struggling for something to say.
The dog is lying in front of the fire licking its balls. Jasper pipes up, “I wish I could do that”.
The mother replies, “ give him a biscuit and he’ll let you”.

One of the funniest stand-up story's I ever saw.Bosscat wrote:I loved the story about him and a m8 at Old Trafford and they were in the home end.

When Brum score and he stood up real quick and said 'yep' with no emotion and sat down just as quick.
The Bovril bit.
The blood on the shirt so he looked like a UTD fan.
Genius.
Edit. I can't find the video, but if you can find it, it's worth a watch, his expressions are brilliant.
Here's the audio though..

Re: Jasper Carrott
We're off to see him at The Mechanics on Saturday 18th May. Having a meal beforehand
in the Bistro which is excellent.
The reviews are outstanding and I think I'm right in saying that Burnley is the only 2 night gig.
The tour is called "Stand Up And Rock" - see link below

Re: Jasper Carrott
Well I went last night and I thought he was very funny. Sure, the majority were the older crowd, but if you understand his humour it doesn't matter how old you are. I was laughing pretty much the whole way through.
We actually had 3rd row seats but due to traffic we arrived 5 minutes in and so had to sit at the back - where we decided to stay as we were first out to the bar at the break and you could see/hear clearly everything anyway.
You'll love it. He did 30 minutes and then the band came on. They were on for around 30 minutes and then he did another half an hour before the break. It started at 7.30pm and finished around 10.10pm with a break in between.Funkydrummer wrote:We're off to see him at The Mechanics on Saturday 18th May.

One of his I love:
I went to meet my new girlfriends parents the other day. We were sat in the living room and their great dane was lying in front of the fire licking his balls. After a while I said nervously 'I wish I could do that'. To which her dad said 'If you give him a treat he might let you'.
