One day I'm hoping that a commentator will grow some balls and use the correct German pronunciation of Christian Fuchs' surname

I’m in Kitchener, Ontario, a city with a huge population of German decent. Formerly called Berlin, changed to Kitchener during WW1 for obvious reasons. The pronunciation of names such as Fuchs and Kuntz has been anglicized to protect the innocent

Danny Shittu.... also slightly different but there are a few players out there that don't suit their surnames because of their usual meaning i.e. Peter Crouch - being so tall and Kyle Walker - who's main attribute is arguably running fast

That's how it is pronounced. As is Fuchs - Fooks.

I suppose the Argentinian footballed Oscar Arce was pronounced differently too - I don't know.
