I'd perhaps understand the criticism more if the atmosphere at the Turf was great as it is, but it isn't. It's rubbish.

It's a good job for you they are not handing out vuvuzelas tomorrow. The Fuhrer hated them.

I'd like one of those flags. I'd fasten it to the back of my motorcycle.

They've been kind enough to put flags on the seats in the away end as well.

Good effort by the club, the Foo Fighters can’t do it on their own

They shouldn’t let Cardiff bring their drums in either

Apparently they are using scarfs in the Cricketfield rather than give them flagsticks

The scarf thing I get. Brilliant by the club and worked well at other clubs. I remember Newcastle doing it with their fans swinging them, and have seen a Leeds do the same and it looks good. Liverpool holding he scarves up looked good too.

The flags....it’s not Burnley. A huge 60 foot one going across the Longside maybe saying “John Bond is a W*nker”, but our fans don’t do flag waving very well.

damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Maybe they are doing it because they recognise that for the most part the atmosphere at the Turf is utter crap

I won’t be waving a flag as it’s just not me, I’ll probably take it home for the daughter though. At Brighton they have huge bins next to each concourse and they put the flags back at the end of the game. Imagine that at Turf Moor, they’d be being sold in Burnley town centre

Brighton summed up perfectly. Take your club sanctioned flag....wave it now and again during the match , then place it in a tub after the event , ready to be re-used by the next consumer.

The club are acknowledging the importance of this match and involving the fans. It's a small gesture but made with the best of intentions.

Don’t know what the problem is really. I like flags. If you don’t like them, don’t wave them and give them to a flag fan. :)

I'm guessing the rest of the order has been held up by Brexit. :o  ;)

So long as we can buy one in the club shop it will be good.

My old mum ( season ticket in the Bob Lord ) said that. I pointed out that most of the fans sat in there already had their own scarves. And tartan rugs. And thermos.

The flags looked great. But they didn’t contribute to the atmosphere. The game itself did that! The fans were very buoyant throughout the first half. Unfortunately, as the teams were coming out and warming up, all we were subjected to was a hugely distorted P.A system, which hadn’t been completely right since the second home game if the season, despite being told countless times it’s being looked into. The flags were very colourful though...

I know many don't like the flags but I thought it was good, it created a great show as the players came out and gave it a bit of atmosphere.

As someone who criticised the cheap tacky flags against Wolves, I’ll just say that these were miles better and looked great when waved in unison.

There'll be some kids today whose abiding memory is the flags when the teams came out or the scarves in the cricket field end when we went 2-0 up. It will have looked great ok to too. That's enough.

Good job.

My thoughts exactly Spice, seen some videos of the stands as the teams came out and have to say it looked good.
Even ended up taking a couple of flags home, one for my 6 year old grandson, one for me :-)
