FA Charge Colin

Post by CaptJohn » Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:28 am

I see he's been charged by the FA for his comments after the Chelski match. He has until the 16th to respond.

TBH I agreed with most of his comments whilst having a smirk and thinking this isn't going to end well for you Colin

I half wanted Cardiff to be denied a clear penalty in the last few seconds of the game. I think that would have finished him off.

Charged with bringing the game into disrepute, any punishment for the officials who also brought the game into disrepute with their shocking decisions?

Misjudged an offside by a tenth of a second when another player was in the way? Wrong, certainly; but hardly shocking. And the four penalties missed, two for each side, are only the same as the many many holds missed in the penalty area at corners in every match. If every single instance of holding was given as a penalty/free kick, the scores would be astronomical and "open play" goals would become almost irrelevant.

His 'silent' stand off with the officials at the end of the game was superb.

Or maybe if refs clamped down on holding at corners at the first opportunity.....

Yes Colin is a bit OTT but we get exactly what seems to go against the smaller teams decision wise and that's exactly what he openly was mouthing off about

To be honest I thought what he said was absolutely correct, wouldn't we feel exactly the same? He didn't slag the officials off as such but gave his observations, it's shocking that they are charging him.

totally incompetent! why wait so long to charge him?

Klopp's sentence for running on the pitch was delayed then too lenient .As a result other managers have done it and a number of fans as well.

although it was funny, He cannot be allowed to create a stand off which delays the officials leaving the field of play.

He should be banned from Lancashire for tomorrow

Shouldn't laugh, because it was pretty wrong of him.
But it was the funniest thing I've seen in football for ages.

And as another, how can Colin and Pochettino be punished for their individual rants about officials, but Charlie Austin's meltdown earlier in the season goes unpunished?

What has it taken almost 2 weeks to charge him? He should be banned from the touchline for tomorrow's and Tuesday game.

Shouldn't they have charged the officials as they seemed to be the cause of all the trouble.. They are quick to charge managers but not too quick to charge their own officials..

Managers rarely complain about officials when they get it wrong in their favour....

Colin being a classic case in point.

All we can hope is VAR sorts it out but as we all have seen that will probably not be the case.
