I want Brighton to go, but I can't see Cardiff stopping up

Bournemouth 6 point double
Brighton 6 point double
Cardiff 6 point double
Southampton 2 points shared
Over 1/2 our points haul from 4 clubs

In a perfect world, for me Brighton will go down because I think they pose the greatest threat of improving out of both teams (from what I understand Brighton are building for the future in buying prospects, and as we know, all it takes is one of them to come good, and - whereas Cardiff are still in the process of building a competitive first team). As Nil D points out, the Sala saga is not going away, and from what I’ve read they could be stuck with a £32 Million wage contract that insurance won’t cover - so that will leave them weakened. I have nothing against Brighton as a place (they have a Green Party led council!), but some of their fans induce schadenfreude in me to a similar degree as Plymouth and Stockport fans used to. So from this point of view seeing Brighton go down instead would be best for Burnley. Like others have said, Brighton for me is an easy-ish day out, as I have ready made babysitting with the inlaws near there, but what stands strongest for me is that if Cardiff beat Brighton, it might keep us in the mix for longer.

All good points until the last one, we are no longer in the mix. Zero chance Cardiff will beat Liverpool and Man UtdAndrewJB wrote:In a perfect world, for me Brighton will go down because I think they pose the greatest threat of improving out of both teams (from what I understand Brighton are building for the future in buying prospects, and as we know, all it takes is one of them to come good, and - whereas Cardiff are still in the process of building a competitive first team). Cardiff without a doubt everything about the club is and always has been nasty!
From bricking us at Ninan Park and damaging cars while we were in the ground to not paying for the player the they bought in January!
Then there was the times the Welsh FA overrruled sendings off for them
Brighton n Bong irritate me but Cardiff are just an horrible club

I'm a cautious guy, Vegas. The term "zero chance" was used by someone I know here (in London), about Burnley beating Wolves, Bournemouth, and Cardiff after we'd just lost to Leicester - which I had only said "could happen" rather than will.Vegas Claret wrote:All good points until the last one, we are no longer in the mix. If Cardiff beat Brighton on Tuesday, we'll be in the mix for longer.

I understand what you are saying and I was giving you the generic "Zero" chance.......but I can't see Cardiff beating LIverpool at home never mind Utd away - I for one hope they win at Brighton thoughAndrewJB wrote:I'm a cautious guy, Vegas.
