29 years old... probably wouldn't be expensive.

He looked very much a 'Dyche type' player to me.

:)

I can't be arsed arguing with you, your suggestion is pointlessly childish but I get you are on one today

As for Gunnarsson he's no better than what we have which makes him exactly the type of player we shouldn't be looking at

Would rather have Hogg from Huddersfield. 29 but a great engine and played some quality passes today at Spurs. Would be a great squad player for low money. Contract expires 2020

I'm perfectly fine, thanks! :D

I made the suggestion because we have all come to expect a certain 'type' of player under Dyche.

Gunnarsson reminded me of such a player.

I wasn't aware of his contract situation, or if he has signed a pre-contract thingy somewhere else, so it may be irrelevant anyway.

yeah, we need better than that though so hopefully Rigg will have some influence. Cork was anonymous again today unfortunately.

yeah I didn't think he was anywhere near as good this week as he was last week. You can tell me different by all means to convince me otherwise, I'll gladly listen

On the player ratings thread typically people gave him 6 or 7. There's no way we would win reasonably comfortably in the PL with an anonymous CM in a 4-4-2. Only two other players played more passes. Only one other player had a higher pass completion rate. These aren't signs he was anonymous.

Cork does the dirty work which brings the best out of Westwood. It wasn’t his best game on the ball but he broke play up effectively and drove forward when he needed to. I said on the game that despite not getting the plaudits from fans I bet Dyche would score him an 8 most weeks.

Edit - as for Gunnarsson - no thanks. A decent Championship player who’s coming to the end of his career.

Definitely a player in the Dyche mould but is a total whopper. Also isn’t any better than what we’ve got. We need creativity in the middle.

I know, but he is definitely a Dyche type player and one that I wouldn’t be surprised we signed if we didn’t have Westwood.

I'm amazed anyone looked at Gunnarsson's performance today and thought he was any good.

His head is too soft. A rain drop falls on it and he hits the ground.

Even his throw is gash. Is that supposed to be a long throw? He only seemed to get about 20 yards of range out of it.

those stats are really interesting and show that Camarasa is a player that we could do with (which we knew pre game tbh). Cheers for the link, saved for the future

I'd be bitterly disappointed in our progress having let Arfield leave and we end up with Gunnarsson a year later. He's a very lazy player.
There are much better younger players we should be looking at.
